What windshield wipers for 2021+ Model S?

Nothing? No one has changed out their wipers and can offer a solid recommendation of maybe a different brand to put on the car?

What windshield wipers for 2021+ Model S?

As the title states. I bought some Duralast Aero blade for a 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid however I cannot for the life of me get it to attach to the arm (as if it's a bit too fat). Any suggestions of a wiper that's a simple installation on this car? I'd just do OEM to save the headache but the...

What is your favorite all-round vehicle you've owned?

100% I know plenty that are far more wealthy than me and are scared of the depreciation hit. My Ferrari F12 is gone but hey when she crossed 40,000 miles. Talk about environmental polluter. Catless V12. :p

What is your favorite all-round vehicle you've owned?

Hell yeah dude. Drives me nuts how many people are afraid of racking up miles on an exotic. Put 1,000 miles in 3 weeks on my 720S. :p

Installed the Unplugged Performance Carbon Ceramic Brakes on Plaid

Ask them but I'm fairly certain it does fit the 19" wheels and what they promote over the factory upgrade.

What is your favorite all-round vehicle you've owned?

Those that don't have like to bicker, justify, or insert any other online pissing contest. Those that have...(like my McLaren and when I had other exotics) do not care of others opinions of said situation. Truth. You're in a Leaf. I'm in a McLaren.👍

Post your Garage charging setup! (pictures, Wall Connector, multi-EV)

Thanks man! It's all about variety. I'm a car guy and appreciate both ICE and EV unlike some that are ICE or nothing or EV life forget ICE camps. I've had tons of other cars in the past too but I cap it at three. My daily, wife's daily, the weekend toy. We share the RS7 (wife's car and has...

What is your favorite all-round vehicle you've owned?

Without a doubt my McLaren 720S Spider. EVs great for transportation, will never consider the vaporware Roadster. ICE all the way for sports car.

Post your Garage charging setup! (pictures, Wall Connector, multi-EV)

Sits on the side wall and can back car in or pull forward charger cable still reaches. Breaker box next to the blue toy had electrician wire it over and across for a couple hundred bucks. Too lazy to go back outside to shoot another photo as this is an older shot but the Tesla Wall Connector...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

CCB do not affect the vibration issue. I have Unplugged performance front big brake kit and their rear CCB kit the vibration everyone talks about is still there. Difference is the car stops like it's supposed to lol

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Feeling is the same. Will not buy another Tesla after this one. It was my one and I can say for certain will be the only. Low 9s and a warranty suckered me in. However with the amount of money the car depreciated (lost probably 70k unrealized at this point) I could have just TT my old R8...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

For those complaining about lowering the car you do realize you have an air suspension you can simply raise it in the few areas you need more clearance. It's not like the vehicle has a fixed suspension height. With that said I'm on stock height as I've learned to live with it. Road in...

The One Thing EV's are Missing...Soul

As the title implies, it's the "soul." I took a friend of mine for a ride in both my Model S Plaid and the pinnacle of ICE a V12 Italian Ferrari. He agreed 1000% the Plaid is faster, The F12 I've done high 10s at low to mid 130s in the quarter. It's a street car with some decent top end and...

Wiki Mega-consolidated delivery quality issues thread and checklist

Pretty much my sentiments. The car "drives" fine and there's nothing "major" wrong. I've accepted Tesla just doesn't care. Can't say I'll buy another one. Love the Plaid power and it's a great daily however I'm hard pressed to do something like this again. Speaking of which 3rd mobile visit...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I've learned to live with it and barely notice it. Open Florida roads car is almost never at 40-45 MPH range cruising. Enjoy the R8. I had a V10 Plus Gen 2 but went for the F car. Talk about polar opposites from Plaid...:D Plaid can do things other cars can't do and the exotic cars can do...

    Tampa/Brandon Paint Shop Recommendation?

Auto Paint Guard has worked on all my vehicles. They've done paint correction and PPF for me. I would give them a call.
  18. N

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Agreed this is my first Tesla and probably my last. I love the Plaid, she runs great (knock on wood), but the fit/finish and the constant service visits with weeks of delays to get in, to not fix anything, schedule another appointment when parts available, etc. It's a joke. They just don't...

    I don't care about non-EVs anymore

It's just funny reading these comments...you just don't get it (including the others in the comments above). You're driving a 4 door sedan. It's not a sports car. Never will be. It's not all about the straight line speed. The car isn't unbeatable, even my Model S Plaid. It's tough to beat...

    I don't care about non-EVs anymore

No. Variety is the spice of life and where EV excel ICE lacks and vice versa. A car is a tool and where Tesla excels and others lack. Same goes the other way where ICE can excel over Tesla or another EV. I'm a performance guy and the ONLY reason I own an EV is because of the Model S Plaid...

Vendor Watt Time & Watt Key - Wear OS Watch Apps To Control Your Tesla

I did a quick test it paired fine and shows key as active on 2021 Model S Plaid 😎👍 I have the watch as two keys. One labelled NFC and the other labelled Bluetooth (with your other app). I sit in car with just watch shows Bluetooth active. I hold watch to wireless charging pad it shows NFC key...

I helped you beta test the app before. I have Model S Plaid and have both FSD and the limited FSD Beta software release so let me know.

I'm sure his was hand built and has no panel gaps and the like.

Installed the Unplugged Performance Carbon Ceramic Brakes on Plaid

None just put Castrol SRF or some sort of upgraded brake fluid in
  25. N

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Maybe also because I rarely drive that speed range. Florida has plenty of open roads. Normal city driving is 45mph or higher . Suburbia is 35mph or slower . Keeps me out of that range of 38-42 MPH. :p
  26. N

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

That's great I love it!!!! 😄😄😄 Anyways almost 12,000 miles later still get it at low 40 MPH range. It's so subtle I've just about ignore it these days. Car drives great.

Recall: Retrofit Hydraulic Control Unit Wake-Up Wire

    Plaid = Palladium? LOL nice!
  28. N

Recall: Retrofit Hydraulic Control Unit Wake-Up Wire

Yeah I notice it too but once again I'll pick & choose my battles at this point. It's not my only "fast" car in my garage so if I want vibration from an ICE motor vs an EV motor I'll just swap out to the others. :D
  29. N

Recall: Retrofit Hydraulic Control Unit Wake-Up Wire

Forget it on the vibration thing. I've learned to live with it and work around it. It's really not "that bad." All the people that have driven in the car or have actually drove the car not one has made mention of it.
  30. N

Recall: Retrofit Hydraulic Control Unit Wake-Up Wire

Put it this way I bought the car in August of 2021 and now end of March 2022 I have everything fixed that I complained about (or found along the way). Most times it was yeah we can fix it or no we can't and we'll reschedule when parts are available.
  31. N

Recall: Retrofit Hydraulic Control Unit Wake-Up Wire

I brought my Plaid in for something else and they added this to the service. No idea what this was but notice nothing different other than the things I wanted fixed are fixed that I originally brought the car in for.

NHRA / IHRA rules for Plaid/Plaid+

You friends with Victor because I know others who got yanked off Bradenton for dipping the Plaid into the numbers it's capable of running. Did they actually change things now because then maybe I'll take it out there.
  33. N

Installed the Unplugged Performance Carbon Ceramic Brakes on Plaid

Shed weight. You aren't beating physics in a car this heavy. On street I never need to exploit the full braking system on my R8. At Sebring that's a different story. 🤣
  34. N

Installed the Unplugged Performance Carbon Ceramic Brakes on Plaid

Got them installed yesterday. Brake has a lot more confidence. Did some back road driving with track mode on and braked hard and late in the corners. These are definitely better than OEM. Does this brake like say a true sports car (like my R8)? Not even close. It's still an almost 5,000lb...

Rear Left Motor Power May Be Reduced - WTF?

Just contact Tesla, they remote logged in, said nothing wrong, and it never appeared again since I posted this. I believe this was a while ago as well. I wouldn't worry about it.
  36. N

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

If you've never driven a performance car before that would be the expected response. If I could get 15,000 miles out of a set of tires on my prior cars that was a miracle. Pilot 4S should last around 10-12K miles before some serious degradation in grip with street use and occasional hits...

    2021.44.30.5

Does this add Track Mode to the Plaid? Same version on the non-FSD cars has Track mode am I safe to assume Plaid gets Track Mode with 10.8.1 given it's 2021.44.30 for track mode on the non-FSD and 2021.44.30.5 so other than the ".5" at the end it's the same version. That means same features yes?
  38. N

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

As long as there's not a mechanical failure it never really bothered me that much. At first it did but over time I just learned to not worry about it. When your other cars in your garage are loud ICE cars that vibrate the entire car even at idle a little shudder at 40 MPH is easy to live with. 😂
  39. N

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

I just got car back today from Tampa and it's vibration-free but I guess I won't hold my breath. I had them reference your invoice. What surprised me was they actually fixed it. I was expecting them to reschedule a service because of no part availability. I guess they had them in stock...

    Plaid Vibration around 38-42MPH....

Based on city were you at the Tampa Service Center? Who did you talk with there? I'm brining mine in for other stuff next week and I'd like to reference your case if you don't mind. Feel free to PM me on the side. EDIT: You also have same configuration I had that I let the allocation lapse...

    FSD Beta 10.6.1

Okay so pray for Sunday the 19th for 10.7? Yeah I was floating 96-97 for a while last month and then I found out about the reset trick but damage was already done on other drives to recover so I deleted (opted out of beta queue). Having Plaid I want to enjoy the car more so than play a game...

    FSD Beta 10.6.1

So I'm on 2021.40.6 with 100 score hoping to slide over to 10.7 when it releases but Tesla just pushed 2021.44.5 to my car. Should I accept the update or will that delay me getting into FSD program?
  43. N

    FSD Beta 10.6.1

How frequent do they push these updates? I just found out given I'm on 40.6 even though I hit the mark (over 100 miles with a score of 100 over 7 days) I'm basically wasting my time having the car sit correct? I remember hearing let your car sit for a week or so after you hit that and you'll...

Rear Left Motor Power May Be Reduced - WTF?

Yeah that was me. They told me software bug and remote logged the car zero errors. Car ripped on my VBOX deep 9s shortly after the notification. Since I made this thread it hasn't (knock on wood) reared it's head since. I hooked it up to a Supercharger for a 65-90% charge just to see if this...

Plaid owners - Tired of Plaid?

Plaid is on par with a sports sedan in "feel" in cornering but it's extremely slopping in braking. I have an RS7 Performance and the brakes are night and day on that car vs. the Plaid. My R8 is way more dynamic in the corners. Plaid is simply a monster in straight lines, semi-competent to...
  46. N

Plaid owners - Tired of Plaid?

Yup I "had to have" the Plaid. It's my first Tesla and first EV. Wouldn't have bought the car if it wasn't for it's performance. No offense to others but every other Tesla minus the LR and Plaid are all launch and literally die after 40 MPH and really fall off a cliff in acceleration at 70...

  48. N

Plaid owners - Tired of Plaid?

What one can do the other cannot. They compliment each other. It's silly when people pit EV vs ICE give me a break. If it's a cool car...it's a cool car. 👍
  49. N

Plaid owners - Tired of Plaid?

Exactly. Here's 10.5 @ 131 (which is faster than a LR in both ET and MPH) versus 9.2 @ 152 MPH Plaid. R8 V10 Plus gets a head start and a few car lengths. Mexico hit. It's not even close. Even given the jump it comes on like a freight train and mows my R8 V10 Plus down like it's not even...
