Good write up! I’ll be picking up a 2017 one tomorrow while my M3P goes in to get a scratch on the spoiler and boot lid it came with. I’ll watch out for the regen not being as strong.

If you can get it fully detailed and corrected for £250 I defo would. I was going to bring up the swirls in mine when it’s back tomorrow but the good old Scottish weather is going to be raining so they won’t be obviously. 🤦🏻‍♂️I’ll take along a LED light to see if I can show them up…..

So it’s actually going in on weds as I logged some scratches that aren’t going to polish out, along with a scratch on the spoiler. They moved the appointment as they were ordering in a replacement. Supposed to be contactless so I wonder if I can just chat to someone about it.

Tbh the bonnet paint seems quite thin. Gave the car its first proper clean this weekend. Paint is a mess tbh. Bonnet is somewhere between 70-85μm rest of the car is 100+ has anyone managed getting Tesla to pick up the price of a full detail? I gave it a stage 2 and I’m still not happy with it...

Agreed its not good on a new car. Is the driver info bit on the right working showing you speed, park drive, and the warning lights etc? What about the aircon panel in the bottom etc? Is it just the left part that's not broken (admittedly that's settings etc so most of the main stuff appears there!)

Mines is a lease through my work. I had to respond to a delivery thing I had to e-sign when the car arrived. Got the car at lunch time, it appeared in the app about 7 at night and got a text the next day in the morning saying it was in the app.

Guess they are wanting to see what 007 has under the bonnet 😋 (do we say under the bonnet or under the floor?!? 🤪)

I'm sure I went into the service option. Logged it under other as exterior was showing things like door handles etc.

Mines is a lease through my work. It appeared in the app about 19:00ish yesterday. Got the car at 14:00ish yesterday. Did also get a text today at 10:50 this morning saying it was in the app.

Yeah booked in for the 29th. When I logged all the pictures at 10am today I actually selected 10:30 but they texted me back moving it as they said they didn’t have any replacement spoilers. So I’m guessing they will just swap it. Impressed with the service so far. Added 90 miles to the car today 😄

Yeah I’m the same, swirls are ok, loads of contamination on the bonnet I’m also cool with, dust under the clear coat and scratches on the boot lid and spoiler not so cool 😞 I go with the usual rule of if your nail catches on it, it’s not being easily removed.

Just got my anyvan tracking so the car is on they way to my house! 🥳 they had estimated 12:50-16:50 for delivery and looks like it will be about 13:50. Looks like the boys bringing it from Tesla in Glasgow.

ooooh just got my text with my estimated delivery time tomorrow. 🥳 Hopefully it doesn't arrive at the 16:50 time as that's no time to clean it!! My plan was to go through a few of the checklists and give it a quick detail which should allow me to properly check the paint when I'm claying it.

Gave them a call, 7min wait for someone to answer. Guessing they are busy! Apparently I’m still all booked in for tomorrow. Mines is a home delivery. So now I just need to try and sleep tonight and not be an excited child 🤣🥳

tbf some waxes do smell good....

😮 stage 2 was needed? Hope I don’t have to do that! I figured stage 1 as I’d expect some defects. That’s been the case with all new cars I’ve had, BMW’s, Audis and Merc’s.

My experience has been the same on a lease. Got a text on the 24th Aug saying delivery to my house on the 21st. To be fair I’ve not asked them for a vin or the reg as it’s a lease through my work, so the company car scheme sorts out the insurance etc. Not much longer now…..

Yeah it’s a fair question cos corrections aren’t cheap! I am worried they will have used a polish with loads of filler etc to hide swirls etc. I’ll find out on Tuesday! Not long now!

I'm guessing reg plates aren't something that is sent to people that are leasing through a company car scheme? Last thing I have was a text with confirming they would be delivering to my house on the 21st (and one a day later saying I'll get a delivery declaration emailed on the day of delivery)

Ditto, went for a black M3P which was exactly what I test drove. Loved the black with the black trim and the wheels.
