My SA called me personally the following day - I thought it was sweet of her :) I never had any text or email from the SC until there was a delay on my pickup due to a paint issue. It was fixed yesterday and now my delivery is this Saturday.

You just got your VIN and haven't yet taken delivery, correct? I suspect that your production date is actually earlier than 8/11. My VIN is 251XXX and I got my VIN on 8/18.

I had to do the same. Be prepared for it to take a few days for the value to be updated. For some reason the initial offer came the same day (or maybe it was the following day) but the subsequent value took what felt like AGES.

I do believe you have to accept the trade in value to have a complete profile. Not sure if that will delay the issuance of the VIN but I suspect it might.

Congrats!! I got a call back and it was a paint blemish. Sounds like they have a paint guy there on Tuesday/Thursday so it will be taken care of this week. It's all good! Enjoy the new ride!

Oh I totally agree! I'm glad they were thorough in inspecting. More for my own curiosity :) I also have logistical things that come into play with my delivery day as I'm out on the coast and the SC is about three hours away.

ACK! Generic call from Tesla rescheduling my delivery by a WEEK based on "something found during inspection" - I called back and waited on hold for an answer about what they found, but person answering wasn't able to help. Waiting on a phone call back to see what the heck is up.

I haven't yet heard about scheduling pick up yet - my EDD shows 8/19-8/22. I'm assuming that VIN is the indicator it's headed to Portland from Fremont, so I'm not too concerned (yet). Would be nice to be able to schedule though :)

Mine was consistently shrinking a day (front date moving up one, back date staying the same) and the morning after 10 days (this morning) I got my VIN. Now my EDD is between today-Aug 22.

I have a VIN this morning! So excited to be moving forward. EDD on account now 8/18-8/23.
