    Is FSD refundable

No obligation, particularly to someone who fulfils the psychological concept of ‘confirmation bias’ As for ‘put your money where your mouth is’ - sell all your assets & invest it all in TSLA since they’re going to $4K by 2024 & ‘let us know how it goes’

    Is FSD refundable

Tesla has done more than tweets
  3. N

    Is FSD refundable

Let me dumb it down further for you - contract words do not absolve an entity of their legal responsibilities.
  4. N

    Is FSD refundable

My extreme example was to dumb down reality, as many people think simplistically like yourself, making a good ‘superficial argument’
  5. N

    Is FSD refundable

Umm, no. In simple terms, yes I can defer to contract words. But not if I undertake ‘unconscionable conduct’ whereby, say, I advertise all over national tv & electronic media every day for the next 1,000 days straight the exact opposite & then I say “sorry, I didn’t mislead you, the contract...

    Is FSD refundable

Contract words are irrelevant if other statements induce action by the consumer
  7. N

    Is FSD refundable

If statements, whether they be verbal (such as autonomy day April 2019) or on Twitter (such as late 2016), are not QUALIFIED as being aspirational, then there may well be legal liability, regardless of what printed words on a website or paper contract state. Only a judge ultimately decides, but...

    Is FSD refundable

Bravo. Good stuff dude. I will be doing the same for both of my cars & take it further as necessary

How many believe that the FTC will find Tesla did use deceptive marketing practices?

‘Reasonable’ test A judge will ask what would a reasonable person define as ‘future’? I would expect the judge will look at public statements made by Tesla/Musk in determining how far in future is ’reasonable’.

    looking for electric frunk feedback

I have the Hansshow version & it’s worked flawlessly. Haven‘t yet understood why a kick sensor can’t be offered for it, as with the Model 3 I have a kick sensor for the trunk
  11. N

Will Tesla need to retrofit side facing cameras?

They lean forward. You didn’t consider this? And FSD is supposed to be BETTER than a human…
  12. N

How many believe that the FTC will find Tesla did use deceptive marketing practices?

Deceiving consumers, thousands of them, is a real problem
  13. N

How many believe that the FTC will find Tesla did use deceptive marketing practices?

Website statements & printed contract words are not sufficient to legally get off
  14. N

Will Tesla need to retrofit side facing cameras?

Well comparative pictures suggest they didn’t allow for visual obstructions
  15. N

Will Tesla need to retrofit side facing cameras?

This speaks volumes. Tesla is in potential trouble Thankyou @verygreen
  16. N

Will Tesla need to retrofit side facing cameras?

Yes, this makes a huge difference
  17. N

FSD Beta Videos (and questions for FSD Beta drivers)

Anyone got video of a hairpin bend on a dirt road? What about oncoming cars on a dirt road?
  18. N

Will Tesla need to retrofit side facing cameras?

Human eyes are a lot further forward when leaning
  19. N

Will Tesla need to retrofit side facing cameras?

Seems like FSD is struggling with unprotected left turns, because the B pillar cameras are too far back. The improvements with each firmware update are marginal. Will Tesla need to retrofit cars with side facing cameras in the headlights or side blinkers?
  20. N

Why didn’t the latest Model S have CCS2

Seems an odd choice since CCS2 has become the standard for EVs
  21. N

After what time has passed would you consider an FSD class action lawsuit?

Tesla has made repeated false representations on FSD. I’m surprised by the lack of lawsuits
  22. N

After what time has passed would you consider an FSD class action lawsuit?

Now with federal Senators raising the issue of FSD ‘legality’ & the NHTSA probe into autopilot instigated, it’s certain that lawsuits will become prevalent

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The Nevera achieved the performance in roughly 2018. It’s also their first ‘mass’ production effort & hence well beyond the performance of Roadster 1.0 - Tesla’s first ‘mass’ produced car
  24. N

Is this true. I thought Musk was against fossil fuels

No. That would, by & large, require the absence of a nuclear fusion reactor
  25. N

    All discussion of Nikola Motors

Nikola a lot like Theranos ”fake it till you make it“
  26. N

    Rimac Concept_Two

The first ‘mass produced’ EV hypercar is awesome. Soon there’ll be hypercars running 7s for the quarter mile
  27. N

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Mind blowing what Mate Rimac has achieved with the Nevera. Has literally left the performance car segment well into the rear view mirror. Outstanding engineering!
  28. N

    All discussion of Nikola Motors

Reckon it’ll be bankrupt by year’s end
  29. N

Is this true. I thought Musk was against fossil fuels

In future, space flight may be severely curtailed as fossil fuel usage becomes borderline criminal, in a more morally advanced society’s eyes. Moon & Mars travel may well be banned

    Tesla Model Y in Australia

Hopefully it’s available with the tow bar from day 1

    FSD Timeline Promises (summary)

Regulatory approval is not holding up a Tesla robotaxi. Tesla is holding it up, with their FSD being in infancy. Hence, ‘regulatory approval’ is a fallacious red herring
  32. N

    FSD Timeline Promises (summary)

No, his tweet was highly misleading. ‘Regulatory approval’ is an obvious, fallacious red herring. Functionality is miles off real world application.
  33. N

    FSD Timeline Promises (summary)

Because tweets such as this are unconscionable: (a bit like promising Model S ”starts deliveries next month“, only to be drip released 5 months later)

Tesla.com - "Transitioning to Tesla Vision"

Vision cannot see a brick wall Pretty sure a 3 year old can (considering people have tried to equate FSD beta to a teenager)
  35. N

After what time has passed would you consider an FSD class action lawsuit?

Interesting numbers in this thread that a third will be or are already talking action this year & half by the end of next year. My guess is the floodgates will open if the well publicised case is successful
  36. N

Lawsuit over FSD claims allowed to proceed

2 applicants means they have a corroborating witness & civil cases are ‘balance of probabilities’ not ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ (this is of course separate to Elon tweets & public statements & past statements made on Tesla’s website & marketing videos)
  37. N

Lawsuit over FSD claims allowed to proceed

Proof is a separate issue to legal principle
  38. N

Elon ducking behind bogus "regulation" for $10K Level 5 bet this year

L5 is anywhere at all time Hairpin bend on a dirt road with oncoming traffic is a legitimate scenario for a robotaxi service - just ask YouTube FSD beta tester ‘Dirty Tesla’. I don’t think regulators will be the barrier to the robotaxi service come 2022; Tesla will be
  39. N

Lawsuit over FSD claims allowed to proceed

I note, as per the thread heading, the judge has allowed the case to proceed implying that, on the surface, the plaintiffs have a legitimate grievance. So we await the outcome, which if successful could encourage others where cost is currently a barrier
  40. N

Lawsuit over FSD claims allowed to proceed

No that’s incorrect. Order agreement clauses do not absolve statutory & common law legal obligations. Or in more simple terms, a company cannot absolve itself of responsibility by writing something in a contract
  41. N

    FSD Timeline Promises (summary)

It comes from the thread: After what time has passed would you consider an FSD class action lawsuit? There is also a thread: Lawsuit over FSD claims allowed to proceed
  42. N

Lawsuit over FSD claims allowed to proceed

Umm, yes. An employee of Tesla is Tesla. Regardless of whether that employee is sales rep Bob Gonzalez or chief exec Elon Musk. When an employee speaks/tweets, Tesla speaks/tweets.
  43. N

    FSD Timeline Promises (summary)

Here is a quote from another thread which beautifully illustrates, from a legal perspective, the legal problems Tesla has:
  44. N

Lawsuit over FSD claims allowed to proceed

Bingo! That also includes other FSD verbal & tweeted representations made by its CEO, which is also Tesla
  45. N

    FSD Timeline Promises (summary)

I’d argue that when there are so many repeated & doubled down statements, it can no longer be accepted as blind optimism. I wonder if a legal argument for fraud can be made or at least unconscionable conduct
  46. N

FSD Beta Videos (and questions for FSD Beta drivers)

Can’t see how robotaxis will be ready to go by year’s end. Cars are struggling with something as simple as unprotected left turns, when are there are miles more complex situations to handle
