Congratulations. I have same spec. Got my VIN this evening as well & have same delivery window. I didn’t get the email(s) though. I heard they do not deliver on Sundays, at least at my delivery center. Which means I am guessing my date will be 9/24-9/25.

I bet what they are relaying to you is your production date. I have a delivery date if 9/22-9/30 but the internal system shows “soft” production date of 9/21

Where can you check the manufacture date? I thought the VIN only contains the year. Is there other documentation that contains the manufacture date?

I think the Bay Area is being prioritized and Southern CA is shortly after. I did get the text approx 3:30PM and responded immediately, however I did not get any further correspondence on build/delivery dates. EDD remains same.

My opinion: the risk of pushing to October is that you will be offered the EOQ rejected deliveries

Interestingly enough I had the same range delivery range projections as you. Ordered 8/5. Red/Black M3P no FSD.

My range is 9/13-9/30 with no VIN or EDD. I think it’s normal. Suspect you will get your VIN closer to 9/20 the delivery closer to end of month.

I have a M3P on order and have a question on tires. Why do most M3P swap out their tires for smaller ones? While I understand some are doing the swap to adapt for winters, curious if others are doing it due to any issues they are seeing with driving with the large rims and/or stock tire quality.

You have some company. SoCal order here as well. Ordered 8/5 Deliberate date range stuck at 9/5-9/25 forever. My service adviser said my soft production date is 9/21 with an expected delivery 2-3 days after. Keep me posted.

I think you made the right choice. Keep in mind, I have not received my car let alone my VIN, however if my delivery date has a car with a window damage that was similar to what you showed I would have rejected it as well.
