    Charging from a generator

Mike, Can you tell me what brand your new DC AC unit is. I'm considering a replacement. I have an older Trane right now and the compressor unit actually has two separate compressors in the one housing so I can wire it to only run on the smaller of the two compressors when I need to run it on the...

    Tesla Supercharger network

Superchargers are not for local charging. LI already has Brooklyn, Syosset and the Hampton locations. Maybe one in Riverhead would help but since the island is only 115 miles long from tip to tip those really do cover it already.

FAQ: Home Tesla charging infrastructure Q&A

I'm running copper on my install but I due have AL from the meter pan to all four of my main breaker panels. Although none of the connections need tightening on a regular basis it is good to check all CU and AL connections from time to time. I'm doing mine every 3 to 5 years but frankly most...

15kw Solar System with Solar Hot Water?

Another option for hot water is an electric tankless hot water heater. For some reason tank type hot water heaters don't last more than 10 years in Florida. Used a Supercharger for the first time

You may want to do a search for threats that talk about stressing the battery with too many 100% charges. In a nutshell, charging to 100% on a regular basis will shorten the battery packs life and degrade capability over time from what I understand.

What is Your Monthly Maximum Minimum Solar Output

Dimitar, The installer I used covers Central Florida from coast to coast but not all the way up to where you are on the panhandle. Florida Power and Light (FPL) did have a very lucrative rebate program when we installed the system 4 years ago. The rebate covered $20,000 of the cost and the...

Mary Barra, what is going through your mind right now?

I think Barra's biggest worry is where to buy enough batteries to build any meaningful number of Bolt's. 200 mile range means big battery packs. 14-50 vs HPWC dropping 25%

My first thought is an aging or overloaded power company transformer feeding your home. Transformers become less efficient over time and in some cases may have new loads placed on them that then degrades thier output voltage.
