So based on your case it sounds like you were able to transfer the original finance application to a new order? From a technical standpoint, I don't see why it can't be done.

My case is recently I have been getting pretty good trade-in offers for my WRX but I wouldn't expect the same several months later.

My original EDD was around mid September, which was right about time for a birthday present. Now I would be expecting a thanksgiving or even a Christmas gift instead... I am pretty sure I can find something on existing inventory way sooner than just waiting for the changing EDD.
