Our electric company doesn't change rates based on peak times either. But I have switched to scheduled charging before going on a trip so that the car is at 100% before we depart in the morning, and after returning home it took me a second to figure out why it wasn't charging after plugging...

Is it possible you have scheduled charging enabled? Scheduled charger is location based, which would be a possible explanation for you being able to charge at work but it stops charging at home, and why your EVSE charges another car (the Leaf). Just a stab in the dark.

Well that's useful information. So has your mobile connector ever worked? Did you happen to see if your mobile connector worked on the neighbor's 14-50 plug - assuming that's what they're using?

Do you have a friend nearby with an EVSE? Might be good to rule out the mobile connector.

I'd contact Juicebox support, even though you're well outside of warranty I bet they'd have some troubleshooting tips at least. We charge our Y daily with a Juicebox 40, though a newer revision (2021 model).

Lol. By the time the session ended it cost about $15 using the guest rate going from 22% to 70%. We did a similar session at a supercharger earlier in the day and it was also about $15. The member rate is cheaper, and if I used it at least once a month it would make sense to pay the $4 monthly...

So apparently you can add a CCS adapter to your cart by using your browser's developer tools, inspecting the grayed out button, and deleting the disabled="disabled" bit. Well, I managed to order one at any rate. Here's hoping they don't cancel it :) Also here's hoping I can get an ECU.

Yeah, the verbiage on the order page updated to say I will require a retrofit. Now the followup question is: are they doing this by VIN, or are they doing it by what your car is reporting to the mothership? I.E., if I bought a non-stripped charge ECU, swapped it in, would it let me order?

I'm pretty sure it is indeed 3d printed, I can see what looks like "banding" on the sides, like it was printed in layers. That said, nothing really wrong with that, but absolutely the official Korean unit looks much better made.

Yes, it started showing up in 2020. But a lot of 2021 cars don't have it, includling my October 2021 build. So if / when the adapter is available, I'm going to at least file a ticket and try to get Tesla to install the missing chips to make mine complete.

So I'm curious for any newer delivereries, if you go into the Software menu, Click on Additional Software Information, do you show CSS Adapter Support enabled? Or does it say Not Installed? Ours shows Not Installed, but apparently some people are showing as Enabled.

It will probably take them all of 5 minutes. It's possible the clips are present, they friction fit against tabs on the trim piece itself, and the clips then fit into slots in the console. But it has to be lined up in just one way, and it's a lot easier to see if you pop both sides loose and...

It is held in with clips in both sides. At least it should be. I know this because under that trim piece lies a plug that can be tapped to get an OBD plug for use with scanmytesla / tea-lax scan tools :) the clips are pretty fiddly.
