Looking back at last year, the only times it wasn’t max rate (5kw per PW) was when they had some glitches at the beginning of the season.

Similar for me, reserve set to 10%, VPP ended at 20%.

Because of the fooling around with percents I was able to get mine to full (but just barely) leading into the event.

I’ve got mine set for 10% as an additional data point for testing.

Mine ended at 6PM, and like qnzkrew, it started charging the batteries when the event ended.

Luckily my house was already full when the storm watch triggered so none was pulled from the grid, but yep a CS pull while it is thundering.

It is the average over the course of all of the events so no matter if there are 10 events or all 60 you will still get the same kW * $, so with my 2 PW I should average around 7-8kW (of the 10kW max) * $180 = $1260 - $1440.

On NationalGrid, I’ve been having events daily.

Yep, pulling from the Grid is expected during Storm Watch. The problem is what happens to billing during a grid event that has a storm watch event as well.

I just love days where we have a ConnectedSolutions day while also having severe thunderstorms rolling across the state.

For my system in MA on NationalGrid it has also been 2 hour sessions from 5-7, and where last year it was usually also 2 hours, but from 4-6.

Today‘s Grid Services / ConnectedSolutions didn’t work properly for my PowerWalls, instead of pulling at the full 10kW for the 2 PowerWall system I sent 100% of my Solar to the Grid and my battery only went to the house during the event which is not how it is supposed to work.

I received my check today, it is lower than some of yours since I didn’t get PTO until July 28th, so I missed 1/2 of the events, but the check was for $945 and some change. I have 2 PowerWalls.

Looks like 21.31.2 (1554effb436) just landed today, still waiting for my gateway to finish rebooting. Update: Not sure what if anything changed in the UI, looks the same as the others in the 21.31.x line. Guess this build‘s changes are all hidden under the covers.

Version 4.x of the App removes the Grid services icon from the energy tabs. Additionally it moves the status of when you are on Grid Services to the front screen, it would be where Storm Watch is in this screenshot.

I also had that same spike and then revert to normal non-grid services mode. It was weird.

On Monday I called Tesla to report the odd trickle charge behavior when getting power from the grid and they put in bug ticket. Then tonight at 1:06am (just a few minutes ago) 21.31.1 was installed. Based on the first 5 minutes after .1 was installed the 100W trickle charge from grid is resolved.
