I’m probably being loose with the word ‘automatically’. It needs assistance, but you can hear the motor make 2 separate moves and with a bit of assistance usually kicks up pretty easy. Probably very specific to each car and the tolerances in the rails.

Maybe it’s because of the car seat, but the button on the top of the seat back slides the seat forward and then kicks it up a bit for access. Admittedly still not easy and not a lot of space back there but it’s one button.

Almost traded my Model Y 7 seater in for the Bronco my wife ordered in January. The trade in offer was $52k, couldn’t do it for that. Not saying that’s not where the market is I just couldn’t handle that it was over $70 a couple months ago..

I got a similar offer on my 5 month old MYLR. It’s intriguing to think I could sell it and make ~$12k. Then I think about what else I could drive for less and the whole theory falls apart.

I’m just not sure why most reviewers compare MME, Ioniq, EV6, and ID4 but leave the MY out.. I think they all have positives over the MY but leaving it out seems like they have ab agenda and that’s annoying.

Once you add LR and AWD to any of these competitors they end up almost identically priced to the MY… at least at the highest trim levels.

We went for the hard top.. which may make it take even longer. But she wanted a manual transmission anyways so that pushes us to cloth seats. The MY will be the road trip vehicle if we ever receive the bronco.

I set my phone up as a key in the Tesla parking lot and there was no wifi. So, from my personal experience you shouldn't need that to set it up. Not sure if you are aware, but you need to have a key card in the spot above the cup holders to be able to set up a new key.

Mine is a LR and seems to have the same issue. I have no done anything about it because I agree with you that the ‘fix’ doesn’t seem to be a fix.. I’m not even sure it’s really a problem other than typically clunks are bad.. lol

Hasn’t Ford already done that with the Mach E? I think Tesla is holding up fairly well against them.

What are you using to charge? It's not the mobile connector or the wall connector? A picture would probably help... or as mentioned above you're stuck with the app or screen in the car.

There is a button on the charging handle, however the car has to be unlocked first for it to work. You can also unlock the charge port from the app.
