Same here, I’ve had my 2 L7 10’s running a NVX 1000w amplifier since 2021 KILLING it with not 1 error message. No extra battery/equipment to speak of. Ran 4 gauge OFC straight from the front battery to my amp been loving it everyday as my daily.

Also the NVX NDA103 works as well. My vad10001 went out on me so out of curiousity I install this larger size(physical) 1000watt amp from nvx and it’s given me the same output along with no issues. I’ve had it in about 2-3 weeks so far with no problems. As a bonus still on the original battery...

Yea I didn’t disconnect the battery up front but I though the bug moles style plug was on the drivers side not the passenger if I remember correctly. When I get some time I’ll go out there and take a picture. I also didn’t run power to the penthouse I ran up to my 12 volt battery. Been going...

I hate to hear that situation but yes you want to unplug the HV battery if you don’t I got a hell of a kickback when connecting. I did on both my 3 and Y. Never had an issue with the low voltage battery draining though. I have the older 12v system so maybe that’s a factor.

Agreed. Great write up, my 1K is still bumping as well with no issues since I completed the original install well over a year ago. But I had the regular battery before the newer style. Keep up the good work.

Pretty sure the type R 10/12 is around 750 rms and I have 2 L7 10 kickers that are 1000 rms with no issues. No rattles no squeaks and no warning lights. You’ll be fine as long as you get a reputable shop they should know what they’re doing if you go that route.

“Brick” the whole system is far fetched. The signal levels are based on levels through the audio settings, so for example if you dropped the sub level down through he screen on a Sunday going to church and wake up to an update that took away that control then you have to reset to put the levels...

I agree. The sub control on the screen is only a convenience if you use it but the knob does the same thing.

I haven’t had any problems with functions but after the latest update my sub control is no longer there and my aftermarket sub sounded weird so I’m troubleshooting now. To the point, the last update did effect the sound somehow have any of you noticed this on the Model Y?

I never got mines to cut off either but I haven’t had any negative effects. I’ve had boats that would constantly stay on back in the day and never had any issue.

I agree preparedness is better than not. I’m expecting it to give issues at some point it’s only a 45ah battery so it’ll only last so long. Now the real question is how often it will fail. The cold is one thing but constantly stressing the battery through different temps is the real test...

Why so? I mean the JL amp. I needed more power but was afraid of the electrical system. I actually have a 500/1 but I needed a 1 ohm setup. The other amps I have are wayyyyyy too big (ZX1500.1, Brutus 3400, skar RP2000) however I do want to know the max Tesla can handle without issue.

After seeing your JL setup I started to go that route but I’ve been a kicker fanatic since circuit city back when I had a solo X 12”, so I figured I’d try it out. It definitely doesn’t disappoint. My only wish is I could have a ported box but sounds great if I could get it tuned the way I want.

I’m using the audio control LC2I. I’ve had great success with them and it does the same. My only hang up with using one this size is the codes it may pull. Next is finding a box builder but that’s another problem. Also if that doesn’t work I have a JL 500/1 that is my backup amp.
