My personal assessment is that this is more a software issue. Unlike phones that sent updates to all in one wave Tesla cars are unique. Each can produce new previously unknown bug that’s specific to a series of cars or updates. I am no software guy but do think the vehicles programs talk back...

What’s your software version? I got mine 30-October and is on 2021.35.102 Been a month and no updates to date. I don’t have the option to opt into the beta-FSD (despite paying 10K), the live view for sentry mode is not there also.

I can hear/feel that single soft knock occasionally while moving over a bump. It’s so infrequent that initially I thought the mud flap was touching ground or something. Did you get the option to opt FSD-beta? There are other updates including live sentry mode view that released after 35.102. Hopefully we get these soon. It is sort of weird how they push updates as it is not uniform and all at one time. Anyways nothing we can do other than wait

That’s pretty much the norm these day haha Don’t expect major defects. Their processes and quality checks are even better than the so called traditional car manufacturers.

So you are pretty much updated. You should get your last one any day now. For me I am stuck in the factory installed. Maybe as others mention in various threads on this, new cars will be stuck in factory software until they get to your VIN. I have opened a ticket anyways so let’s see what they say

That’s what I don’t understand yet. I did click on the FSD-beta and it shows as active. I have read people getting into a waiting list etc but I didn’t see anything of that sort. It was available for me to activate as soon as the cameras fully calibrated.

Amigos just a few post delivery notes FWIW: 1- No mudflaps or PPF (backdoor) for me. So it is likely a random DC event 1b- Don’t go in expecting panel gaps or paint defects hahaha. I talked with few recent deliveries- NONE had any body issues to report. But again do your diligence as always but...

There are five general campers. 1- That spend 10K on the FSD no PPF 2- That spend 4-7K on PPF no FSD 3- That spend 14-17K on FSD + PPF 4- No FSD and only limited to no PPF 5- FSD (10K) but only limited to no PPF WHICH camp are you in?? Just say camp 1,2,3 or 4

So Tesla does take the downpayment quite early if you provide your bank details. They pulled mine on 26-Oct. Delivery is on 01-Nov. I would recommend folks to just use cashiers check.
