    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Random shot of my car since this is my thread LOL (JOKE) Freshly detailed ---

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

LOL there is nothing like the Plaid that I can get and its iterations have not changed enough but until now with the 23 getting the round wheels and red calis... hence my retention is long. CSL just doesnt fit my desires--- I wont track it so the X drive with a tune does the trick. And at that...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Thanks for the kind words ... for the spacers, the suspension geometry does not get adjusted (Arms, Camber, Toe, etc) so its just plug and play. Ive been spacing quite a few cars over my life (probably close to 30) and the alignment is never a concern. When they were on, I had zero issues with...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

no idea, I quoted his question about it stating I dont have such an issue ... Im sure its an aftermarket steering wheel (brand specific) where the wheel doesnt align properly with the steering bolt causing fluctuations ...
  5. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Zero wobble or structural concerns, this wheel is an OEM core with the carbon upper added on so its been really good and well made to add. Brother I saw your post on the CSL--- I just cant seem to wrap my arms around it when I have a tune G80X drive that will actually pull it and beat it...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

?? not sure where you read that No, you asked if I would change and I said Id keep it static (same as now) because its aggressive and im lowered with no rub.
  7. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

I would leave mine static; aggressive with rub even when lowered. No idea, I got mine last year in Jan and it took about 5-6 weeks IIRC. Lead times can clearly change so your retailer will know best.

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Indeed I do but I did order a 2023 in white with the round wheel. Hahahhaah you are great!! I actually did not get that car ... for some reason I didnt see the gain in performance enough over my current G80X drive plus its RWD and I love traction :) I do have this too:

Thanks sir--- Im still on the BMW forums probably the most as my AMG days are over except for the classic C63BS. But I am eyeing a Final Edition E63S... maybe

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

So I have the very low part of the rockers resprayed--- came out pretty good. I didnt peel the plastic and have that fixed yet nor is the car clean. But I tried to take pictures around the same time in the same point for accuracy. Before After

LOL The very low part (rear rocker panels) under the section where the plastic covering is placed.
  15. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

They are Vossen HF5--- same diameter and width as OEM but with more aggressive offsets.
  16. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Im actually getting my bottom part resprayed Friday after the rain... Ill post before and after pics.
  17. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Got this one in before the Cali rain hit and all the idiot drivers FREAK out LOL
  18. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Fawk --- sucks and I have some issues like that too... I feel like the paint is too soft as I run aggressive wheels on my other cars or have them spaced out (plus I rip them pretty hard) but no major chipping.
  19. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

So before and after I run advanced suspension with the stiffest damper setting and most aggressive handling setting; I would not say its substantially more harsh but you can tell its lower but not to an annoying bouncy level. Im rather impressed with the valving of the dampers even with more...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

hahaha yep --- I dont think there is something I can replace it with that mirrors the car. I dumped M8 Gran Coupe and got a regular Coupe but thats a big change...

Its almost been a year and just last night I got another compliment while driving about how mean the car looks with the wheels and proper offsets:

  27. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Yes but I want to change the color LOL ... Im not into wraps so maybe Ill get new one in white or red. Does anyone know when the 23's are coming?
  28. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Yes nothing will change from a process standpoint. Picture this example- Stock height in the front (just using a number) is 27 inches fender to ground. Placing the car in cheetah brings it to 23 inches (again Im just using example numbers). Now with my front dropped .8 or lets say 1 inch...
  29. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Thats a good question and it does not affect it in any way as the cheetah stance is actually lower than my normal lowered stance. So all it does is change the amount of drop it takes to reach cheetah level (less amount to lower).

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Thank you I appreciate the kind words and I will continue to provide input and pics as I randomly take them. :) I have them somewhere let me see where they are and Ill get back to you. If not I did post the location to get them custom built but just in case: https://www.motorsport-tech.com/

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Its gloss --- Im not sure if you are asking me if I said pushing the wheels out would make the gap larger because its absolutely the opposite IMHO. A general statement: I lined my Plaid with my aftermarket wheels next to an OEM Plaid and while we are on the same width wheels and tires (I...
  32. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Probably in the slew of pages of my thread is where I have shown the links I used to lower the front and rear... as far as I remember the rear is dropped 1 inch and the front .8 The offset does create an even more wide body look but its dropped for sure.
  33. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Sure I typed that before there was a Plaid where now the hp and tq margins are exponentially greater. But I also said I would not get an EV as my only car... that will remain my stance (never on 6speed as I havent been there since pre Tesla). I post randoms here because it keeps the activity...

  35. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Oh I knew exactly what you meant ... :) Ill only dump the wheel when/if I dump the car but for now its a keeper unless a I do a color swap and then the wheel will transfer along with the rims.
  36. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

LOL I might get bored of the color but not the car thus far!!
  37. vic55

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

They sent me to a preferred local shop who did the removal of the wheel and trim and install of the trim on the new wheel. There is no way I wanted to mess with that plastic piece on my own. The airbag part is indeed easy as I watched them do it but the trim ... not so much as its bit tedious...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Yeah it would be the GTS or my M3 or the M8 ... but I am using the Plaid alot because I just dont have to gas it up ever (not to save money but to save time) and the sheer velocity is incredible. The R8 wont fly as an only driver for me. Ive already spoken to this but but I have no intention...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

I love the Taycan from my short drives that Ive had (Turbo)- it truly drives as advertised. I just wasnt in the EV market when it first came out and then the Plaid piqued my interest solely from its straight line performance. I never looked back as the sound system makes up for the lack of...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

I didnt while I didnt while I had the oem wheels on with the spacers ... I had the tips of the studs shaved but that was all and way more than enough threads as well. Of course I dont have those spacers anymore and am running custom wheels.

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

Hey bro I remember you and hope all is well. I really didnt transition as I still have 2 M cars- this was more of a novelty add on since I love ICE cars but the sheer speed and really good looking lines has me very happy with the buy. To address your short points: You dont need CP or Waze...

    My First Tesla-2021 Model S Plaid MSM-Pics

I didnt catch that much flack for having the Plaid because its a ... Plaid but I hear ya. I like both ICE and EV for daily as I can swap back and forth for speed in a straight and then some aural pleasure and carving. Personally I have not lost friends because of the cars I own, if I did...
