I saw an offer I couldn't resist this morning! I had to do a doubletake when I looked at the price! :eek: $37,000 for a 2020 Model 3 SR+, Pearl White with White Interior, 18" Aero, FSD, and No Accidents or Repairs!!! I already have the car financed and will pick it up sometime this week! So...

The wave of cancellations has started to pour in! My phone has been receiving lots of notifications from Reddit of RWD and LR Model 3 available in California.

My EDD changed this morning from 11/29-01/10 to 11/14-12/26.

Where are you located and what color and or options did you pick for your Model 3?

Bummer on the EDD change. Mine has stayed the same, 11/29-01/10 for over a month, my OD was 08/08.

That’s so awesome! I really wanted to get the white seats as well, but I have kids and I don’t want my OCD to kick into overdrive keeping the seats clean lol

I officially changed my color to Pearl White. The recent heat here in So Cal has reminded me how painful it can be to have a dark colored car. I currently have a dark gray Prius Prime and I thought I was going to burst in flames from how hot it was inside my car after a quick Target run lol 🥵🥵

Alright so I need some advice. There’s a 2019 Model 3 SR+ for sale with only 19,000 miles on it at my local Hyundai dealership. It ends up being $7,000 cheaper than getting a new RWD. It’s not the color I prefer, but it’ll save me a ton of money. Thoughts?

Yeah... If that rumor is true, I will refuse delivery and just wait to get a used 2021 or 2022 LFP RWD. Capacitive buttons for the horn, turn signals, and selecting gears are where I would draw the line. I'm sorry, but that is just too removed from functionality.

Premium audio only comes with the Long Range version. You can get the 4 tweeters activated though by either a DIY kit or going to a car audio installer familiar with Teslas.

When the IRS gives out the official list which will more than likely be sometime in November or early December, then you can bet there will be tons of cancelations! Some people don't mind a longer wait if they're guaranteed $7500 back.

That rule doesn't go into effect until the Secretary figures out the percentages for the battery materials. The Secretary has until 01/01/2024 to give guidance to the regulations about where the minerals and materials come from. This will not be an easy task and more than likely, a good part...

Tesla will need to first increase the range of the Long Range model. Then maybe we'll see range increases closer to 280 miles for the SR+.

There have been people in Europe who say their LFP range recently changed to 262 after an OTA update. I haven't heard of anyone in the U.S. who has an LFP pack receiving this new range rating, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla makes the same change for us to avoid having to pay for separate...

My LFP still shows the max range of 253 miles at 100% though and I have the latest software. The existing inventory (which is where I got mine) says 253 miles of range. 262 is more than likely still NCA with a 1-mile discrepancy.

I think the transition to full LFP production for the SR+ will take some time to ramp up. It doesn't help that it's Tesla's most popular model and trim level. Existing inventory is going to be everyone's best bet for a while though for sure.

Well, looks like everyone in the world is getting LFP on the SR+ now! Tesla will change the type of battery cells it uses in all its standard-range cars

I would definitely pay $2k to bring my 0-60 time down to 4.8 seconds and not have to worry about warranty issues!

Yeah, I think we'll eventually see that update, but right now there are so few of us LFP owners in the U.S., I doubt we're on Tesla's radar to reflect the added 9 miles. I'm just excited to be able to charge to 100%! :cool:

The top of the driver's side door on my Model 3 is not properly aligned. I have an appointment with the service center this Friday. I'm hoping they'll be able to make it better. 🙏

You’re welcome! I think we’re in a pretty good spot having these LFP battery packs. I’m pretty sure we’ll get some cool updates in the future and from what I’ve heard, LFP can actually increase range on its own by learning your driving habits and charging often.

253 miles

Tesla is still making the Model 3 SR+ with the LFP battery. I got mine off of the normal inventory page and accepted delivery the next day. The sticker window says my car was made in October.

LFP is 100%

I'm on 2021.11.104 and the car says, I'm up to date.

I didn't notice this gap/alignment was so bad until I started driving home after delivery. Straight on it's not too bad, but when I'm driving and checking the driver's side mirror, it looks pretty bad. Does anyone know if they could fix this with a mobile service appointment?
