Rear knuckle bushing any issue with it?

You will still need to remove it to insert the new one. I tried a bushing press kit initially, but ended up removing the knuckle as the knuckle structure interfered with the press sleeves. I don't know about cutting it.

Rear knuckle bushing any issue with it?

I believe all four are the same. You can use them for upper bushings on both sides.

Rear knuckle bushing any issue with it?

I had play in the right rear. I could feel it by grabbing the wheel 11 and 5 position with the car jacked up. I will say pressing the old bushing out is a bit of a pain as the retaining surface is at an angle in regards to the bushing. I used a 20 ton shop press for this. Getting the new bushing...

MPP compression rod and control arm bearings.

I went from oe to oe with inserts to hardrace. I would say hardrace is firmer than oe with inserts. Of course that is just my opinion but I would suspect they would be more durable than oe.

MPP compression rod and control arm bearings.

I just installed the Hardrace compression bushings and they are a great alternative. They are solid hard rubber all the way around.

Rear knuckle bushing any issue with it?

I am looking at replacing the top one with hard race as the right rear has developed some play. https://hardraceusa.com/products/hardrace-q1078

Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation [Car announced 04.23.2024]

Visited the local Tesla store to see the cybertruck and was told by the rep that the 3 will be a plaid. I of course have my reservations on how much they actually know but he was insistent that there will be no performance model but a plaid model 3.

Very high energy usage for the first 3 miles of a trip

I would say it is just a lack of distance for it's calculation. Just as if you travel a long distance and then 'floor it' it would not impact the value much.

No bolts. Clips on. I have removed mine a few times using a plastic pry tool starting closest to the steering wheel.

This top cover. Once it is off you will see the steering column shaft that extends out. You want to grease that shaft.

    Steering column growls when retreating

I pulled the cover off mine, extended it all the way out and applied silicone grease (not spray). A thin layer is all it needs.

    PPF After 1 year?

I did my front end as soon as I got my car. Headlights first which were super easy and then the hood which was pretty straight forward. I do recommend using installation gel over soapy water. It gives a lot more time to 'get it right'.

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

The noise is 'normal'. Typically more difficult to hear in an ice car. I believe it is the design. It provides quicker assembly by just popping the axle stub into the differential. Porsche has flange axle stubs that bolt in and then the cv joint is bolted to the flange. Some Subarus have the...

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

I have experienced this noise in front wheel drive cars. What is happening is that small bumps in the road is pushing up the suspension a little bit and that shortens the distance between the hub and the gear box. This will push against the shaft pushing in the cv joints and pushing the inner cv...

    Model 3 front suspension clunking

The drive shaft knocking sounds like it. The input shafts use a spring retaining clip to hold the axle in. This allows for easy replacement as opposed to circlips. In my experience circlips ensure a nice tight fit and spring clips allow some slop. Putting to tight of a fit on spring clips could...

Can a family member take delivery for me (power of attorney)

If they have the app and are logged into your account I don't think it would matter. You will get text messages sent to your phone with instructions that you would need to forward to them. M3 sometimes won't shut "off" when I park - why?

This was happening to me. Also, I would get in the car and shut the door and everything would turn off even though I was sitting in the driver's seat. Turned out to be a defective seat sensor. Had it replaced and everything is fine now. When I contacted service they did have me reset the MCU to...

Any thoughts on screen protectors...Spigen et al?

Spigen works great. It did cut the 'crispness' of the display though. Since I put it on as soon as I got the car I don't ever notice.

MPP compression rod and control arm bearings.

I reached put to MPP about this before and their response was something like the bearing was installed incorrectly in the pic and the reason the fat end is pressed in first is to prevent possible slip of the bearing inside the aluminum case under hard breaking.

Conflicting Info from Tesla for payment method? [and other financing questions]

I set mine to cash when using my own financing. I then spoke to a Tesla rep and told him that my bank will be paying $45k and I will be paying the rest. He then credited my account $45k. I had an infiniti that had a lot of movement similar to what is seen in this video: at the 1:10 mark. I took video using an endoscope of the front and rear bushings while driving my M3P and I have to say there is very limited movement in the bushings. The only movement that could be seen was...
