Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

I'll try this, I just logged into the app. car was at 62% now. I enabled sentry mode, went to live view and looked through a camera, saw the garage. quit the view and disabled entry mode. Will see if that makes a difference.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

The only Tessie routines I had created were for the car to "set climate to 68 at 1pm while GPS location is work", and "stop charging at 3pm at GPS home", neither of which should apply while in a parking structure that is not "home" or "work". I deleted both of them, signed out of the app and...

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

See, that's what I've heard others say, and that's what I have observed parking the car at my own house unplugged. This is something different. For some reason the car just won't go into sleep mode.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

BTW I regularly leave my car parked at home unplugged overnight, charging every other day. And every time I see the next day it has lost at most 1%, usually it's the same % where I left it. Right now I am going to sleep and wake up to find it's lost 2-3% for no reason at all. Only difference...

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

I have a friend who I can probably ask to take it to a supercharger. It'd be a huge pain in the ass for him but yeah I've thought of that. This really shouldn't be the case though. I shouldn't have to do this. This is causing pure range anxiety, plain and simple. I really hope something's...

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

I opened a service ticket with tesla and hope since this is such a software car they can look at the logs and say "yeah this 3rd party app is keeping your car awake" and can point the finger at something. Or there is something else wrong with my car, maybe Sentry is still on even though...

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Thanks, yeah I don't have EAP or FSD, so no summon should be at fault here.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Yes, I've checked multiple times that it is off. I actually turned it off several days before I planned to leave because I know how much of a battery drain it is.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Changed my password. I'll wait a full 48 hours before I log back in and check on the car and see how the battery drain is. It was 63% when I last checked. Phone app is logged out, tessie app is logged out with password changed so authorization should be cut off.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Teslas sleep after 30 minutes of activity. I'm definitely not checking it that frequently, not checking by multiple hours. Something else is keeping it awake.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

I don't have summon, but I'll try changing the password to see if that works. I opened a service ticket as a backup.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

define frequently. I have left it 8-12 hours between my checks, and come back to find it's lost 3-4%. How long before the car goes to sleep? I've seen it go to sleep while at work in much less time.
  13. mephiska

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

I signed out of my Tessie app completely, even though tessie says it won't take the car out of sleep.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Also let's math that out. I've got 12 days to go. If I am currently at 63% battery and am losing 5% per day, that's 60% battery drain and will leave me with 3%. So no I'm not fine. You should be able to leave a tesla in long term parking for 2 weeks and not return to a dead car. At the...

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Whatever the latest version is for my car. But still the phantom drain is absurd. I've seen people say to expect around 1% per day of drain when car is left to sleep. This is unacceptable.

Help: Horrific battery draining while parked in long term parking structure - I've got 12 days to go

Hello, I am out of the country right now, over 6,000 miles away. I left my car parked in a 3rd floor of a long term airport parking structure. I charged it to 90% before I left my house, arrived and parked at 79% on the late night of 11/10. I made sure to turn off sentry mode, turned off...

Advice on repairing damage from minor fender-bender

Find out how much your insurance will go up and for how long if you do file a claim. Also check if your policy has accident forgiveness. I assume this was your fault since you have to pay the deductible? The deductible + rate increase over x years may be more than the $1400 the body shop...

Fast FC04 19" wheels in Bronze on my Blue Model Y Performance

Went to a car wash today, took a couple more driveway pics. With the 35mm offset these wheels have a nice dish to them. Loving this setup, loving this ride quality. Never knew there was such a bug difference in how a car rides going from low profile tires to more normal ones.

Fast FC04 19" wheels in Bronze on my Blue Model Y Performance

You'll have more rim protection than me with the 9" rim, I just don't know how much, much. It'll be .25" in to give the tire more room to bubble out and protect you. The one thing I wish I had was wider tires for protection. The lip of these 9.5" on 255 width tires sticks out more than I was...

    Replacement Tires for 19" wheels

I just put Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4's on mine, 255/45ZR-19. Very happy with the tires so far. Quiet, smooth ride, tread pattern seems like a good mix of dry handling + wet & snow. No need to limit tire choices to EV specialized tires.

Fast FC04 19" wheels in Bronze on my Blue Model Y Performance

$1450 for the wheels, $1100 for the tires after the rebate and $140 for the install, so around $2700 installed. My plan is to sell the wheels & tires to recoup some of the cost of the switch. FWIW I don't expect to recoup all costs from resale of my stock wheels.

Fast FC04 19" wheels in Bronze on my Blue Model Y Performance

Yep, fully aware of the Subaru vibes. I've had three Subarus personally (1980 1600GL, World Rally Blue bugeye WRX, and a hatch STI), so fully aware of the blue/gold thing with the STI & Rally heritage. I was not a fan of the Uberturbines after living with them for 6 months and wanted to...

Fast FC04 19" wheels in Bronze on my Blue Model Y Performance

Posting in case someone else wants to see how it looks. I'm loving the look, I've always loved the blue/bronze combo. Going from the stock 21" Uberturbines to these lightweight 19" wheels has dramatically changed the way this car drives. The ride is so much better, it's much more supple and...

Mobile Wheel Repair in SF Bay Area?

I've been so good with my previous cars but these 21" Uberturbines just poke out too much and I've got some curb rash I'd like to have fixed. Does anyone know of a good mobile repair business, preferably north or east bay.

Rivian price increased massively - $15,500. Cancelled, I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Rivian has relented and now will honor the original reservation price for anyone who ordered before March 1 2022. They are also going to honor that price for any of those that cancelled their orders as a result of this price increase, so if anyone in this thread got outraged and cancelled, if...

Enterprise Rental & their used Teslas - Free Supercharging

I was rear ended in my 40 day old Model Y and my insurance set me up with a rental from Enterprise. When I went to pick it up they said they were set to give me a Toyota SUV but the guy offered me a Tesla Model S instead. I said sure since I really didn't want to deal with gas as I'd already...

Confused and frustrated with schedule departure and schedule charge

Yeah, I think it could have been I had it plugged in before 3pm on a Friday. I have my scheduled departure set for weekdays only, but if I plug it in on the weekend it'll start charging to my limit if it's at off-peak rate time. Also in the latest version of the app I do have my off peak...

Confused and frustrated with schedule departure and schedule charge

I'm pretty sure it doesn't start charging the car until it's near my departure time. When I've pulled up the app at 4am I see it drawing 11.5 kwh and charging the car. It's definitely calculating how much time to charge to 80% and waits till then. It doesn't immediately start charging at...

Confused and frustrated with schedule departure and schedule charge

Question: Have you turned on "Off-Peak Charge"? I have that on and set to All Week, with my off peak end time set to 3pm when higher electricity rates kick in. I come home from picking up kids from school at 4pm and plug my car in. It won't start charging until after midnight.

3D-printed rear seat shoulder belt guides

Anyone find the STL for this? It's sold out on Etsy, but I'd love to print this at home. I found this on thingiverse but OP's is more elegant. I can't find any other pictures of this uninstalled, but I assume the piece extends under the headrest with two holes for the posts to go through...

Significant ride comfort in MYP Performance with 19" Gemini wheels/ higher profile tires

Perspective: My prior two cars were a 2013 Subaru STI and a 2016 BMW M3 on the base 18" wheels. The MYP rides like a dream on the 21" Uberturbines.

Vendor AOSK Tesla Model Y Roof Spoiler and new Upgraded V2 Duckbill Spoiler is finally in stock!

This is the only thing you're selling that is useful since tesla is OOS of these. But again, there is a probelm. Your link points to those useless and awful glued on door handles, not the PPF.

Vendor AOSK Tesla Model Y Roof Spoiler and new Upgraded V2 Duckbill Spoiler is finally in stock!

You've spent time in a wind tunnel to prove this thing increases downforce? This 1" strip of molding really will "increase stability at high speed"? You've also created something that will deflect the airflow that normally will clear the rear window of rain. So you've made that worse too...

That roof spoiler looks like it disrupts airflow and reduces efficiency (range). Why would anyone want that?

Blue Glass Gen 3 Wall Charger Cover - I bought something frivolous but I love it

Yep, that's what I learned in my little dive. Honestly for home charging 48A is great. 40mi/hr is great, that's what i get, and it's way more than I need for home charging.

thx for the edit, that confused me and made me think they made a color coordinated cover for the gen 2 charger, then I went down the rabbit hole of the gen 2 chargers and 80 amps and.....yeah. Anyway, nothing but love for this color. I always love blue cars, light blue, dark blue, I really...

These things just came out this week. I bought one. My car was delivered 13 days ago and this is my first EV so I'm probably a little excited. Yeah I could also light $100 on fire. But then I wouldn't get to look at a blue wall charger that perfectly matches my car. I think it looks really...

MYP Tramlining on OEM Pirelli's or is it wind?

Thanks for that. I'm leaning toward this being a combination of three things. Wet roads, Grooved bridge pavement and high winds. Today I drove home from work across the Richmond bridge and there was little wind, but most importantly the road was dry, and I noticed none of the wiggle that I...
