M3P: Which Tires wear faster- Front of Rear?

Just to chime in, my 2021 M3P's rear Pzeros were nearing the wear bar at a touch over 11k miles, more wear towards the inner thread. Stock suspension. Never rotated them bc I'm lazy. Fronts were still looking good. FYI, I mash the pedal frequently or when traffic conditions allow.

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

I also had these installed just last week, all 4 corners, due to a premature blowout on my front driver's side tire. OEM size, 235 35 20. My rears were getting near done at 11k miles but my front (Pzero OEMs) were still good, until the sidewall blowout due to a massive pothole I was unable to...

Rear Windshield [tint], 2 piece or 1 piece?

find a place that will do it in one piece. my rear roof/back is 5% ceramic. looks just right imo.

    Window Tint Too Expensive

yes, I did get ceramic. we actually had my wife's MYP done at a different place bc it was cheaper and they also had great yelp reviews. give Concours Auto Spa in Torrance and see what they can do for you. their quote might be close to your $1380 quote.

What Did You Do With Your 20” Uberturbines?

if you have Facebook, a lot of people sell their things through various FB groups after you join. that's how I sold things off my previous car, like piggyback tune, exhaust, intake, etc.

Black Model 3s. Tint or no tint? Anybody have pics?

to each their own. love the murdered out look; even blacked out the rear side reflector and the little reflectors on the bumper. 15% sides, 5% rear and roof and 60% front windshield. only deal drugs on the weekends.

Screw in Tire, Replace or Take a Chance?

no tire shop I've been to (or dealer for that matter) would patch a tire with a hole that close to the sidewall, assuming the object went all the way through. personally, I would have a new tire ordered and/or take it to a shop that has the tire you want, ask them to remove the object and see...

    Opinions/Experience with Black MYP

I'm on my 4th black car with my Model 3P. we've had my wife's 2022 MYP for about a week now, also in black. black will show off swirls and paint imperfections better than say a silver car. but a clean black car looks a 1000X better than a clean silver car. I'm partial to black so I'm ok with...

M3P: Why So Little Regenerative Braking?

I have a 2021 3P and we just received my wife's 2022 MYP, which I've been driving all weekend and it seems like there's a slight stronger regen in the MYP vs. my car when we have both cars full with my family of 4. I drive both in "creep" mode (which is my preferred choice). I though maybe...

Average age of Model 3 owners?

48 this month and as of today, we now have 2 performance model Teslas in our garage. (wife's MYP just delivered this morning!) with kids, mortage payment and an investment property, owning 2 brand new Teslas are plenty.

    M3P or MYP?

if you don't necessarily need another SUV/utility vehicle, I'd go with the Model 3P. my wife is coming off a Lexus RX350 fsport and is having her MYP delivered this Thurs. my previous car was a Macan S, which was nice for utility purposes but now that my boys don't need big car seats, I knew I...

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

will the Michelin PS4S or PSS in 265 30 20 on the OEM Ubers fit with no issues on stock suspension? overall diameter will be 26.3.

Buying a model 3 in 2022. Is it worth it?

inflation. everything costs more. food, housing, raw materials, etc. at least w/ Tesla you buy direct. pretty much every dealer for every other car manufacturer is charging markups or dealer add ons. still think w/ the price increases, Tesla offers a fair deal.

Vendor eas | Southern California Tesla tuning source and daily showroom

I have a late / Oct. 2021 build Model 3P. will the Vorsteiner front lip fit my car, no issues? I ask bc when I was speaking to another vendor, they said their front lip/diffuser would NOT fit the later builds bc the front was a touch longer or shorter (I can't recall), even though they...

First Tesla - Model 3 SR+ Multiple problems since pickup

OP, I feel your pain. coming into a new brand, receiving a brand new car with issues right off the bat, would leave a bad taste in my mouth as well. Tesla is pumping out thousands of cars and unfortunately, some, if not all will have varying degrees of issues. my wife and I are coming from...

    Window Tint Too Expensive

I've taken 3 cars (and plan to take our upcoming MYP) to the same place in Redondo Beach, Fresh Window Tint. ask for Jose the owner if you're interested. TBH, not the cheapest option but they carry quality products and have done awesome work in the past. my rear including the entire roof is...

    MYP Insurance

just got a quote for our upcoming MYP at $734/6 months w/ State Farm. nearly identical to what I'm paying for my Model 3P. I have 3 cars, homeowners policy and have been w/ State Farm for some time, which obviously affects our rate.

    Window Tint Too Expensive

I have full ceramic on my Model 3P as well as our Lexus RX and the heat rejection properties really make a difference. also plan to get the same for our new MYP. depending on where you live and the brand of tint, prices can vary. personally, quality ceramic is worth the money.

effect of wider tires (+ wider wheels) on steering feel and nimbleness

I was curious about this, too and posted something some time ago but my thread got merged with the general tire questions thread. I'm still contemplating 265 30 20 to replace the 235 35 20 Pzero's when the time comes but do not want to sacrifice the nimbleness of the OEM set up.

    Clarification on Tint

I've been running my 11-99 plate frame on my past 4 cars so maybe that's doing the trick. even got off w/ a few warnings when I should have gotten tickets. only time I had to remove the front tint was on my 92' Jetta which had limo tint during my college days.

    Clarification on Tint

I did all my windows in Huper Optik ceramic, the rear and roof in one piece in 5%. the sides are 15% and the front, 60%. my tint guy never mentioned issues of glass cracking or whatnot and he's done tons of Teslas and exotics as well. (Fresh Window Tint in Redondo.) I've taken my previous...

Tesla Model 3 Acceleration Software Limited? [model 3P]

coming from only ICE vehicles, I actually love the heavy pedal feel. I've had my Performance for about a month now and I enjoy modulating the pedal just right to get the desired thrust. my last car was a Macan S and that thing lagged so horribly, my 3 is a blast to drive.

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

I'm no tire expert but from previous experiences, my tire guy has said that a puncture on the other side of that groove, closer to the middle, is repairable (considering you have enough treadwear which it sounds like you do). since you're on the other side/outer part of said groove, a tire shop...

Model 3 Tires, Tire Sizes, Types, make / model recommendations, tire discussions, etc

my thread got merged to this one but I was about to respond that in this very thread, someone said that the 265 30 20 should work and won't upset the traction control and system in general since the over diameter won't be too far off from oem. now I'd like to see the Uberturbine's w/ the 265 tire.

Tesla Model 3 Acceleration Software Limited? [model 3P]

I've had my 2021 3P for about 3 weeks now, first EV. absolutely love it and to not get too used to the power/performance, I try not to gun it every other chance I get. plus, unless I'm driving during my early morning commute, there's simply too many cars on the road to use most of the power...

anyone here running 265 30 20s on their 2021 Performance? how is the handling/performance, any noticeable pros or cons? I do like the stretched look but am wary of hitting a pothole. plus, the 265 vs. the 235 will have an increased contact patch of about an inch. been on tirerack and I've...
