Crazy or no brainer? Trade 2018 LR RWD for 2023 SR RWD?

If it's your secondary car, run it into the ground IMO.

How much jack height to lift both wheels?

Thanks for the replies everyone! That's very helpful, thank you! Looks like I won't need the extra height of highest lifting one to clear a jack stand. The car doesn't go far off level either. Wish I could get a locking jack near me, that would be the easiest. The shipping fees to Norway are...

How much jack height to lift both wheels?

For changing tires it's fine, but I'm going to be poking inside the wheel arches to maintain the brakes and to fit an anti rust kit, and I'd like that corner to be on stands then. But I don't want to get the big, expensive jack stands just for that. I did qualify it with "...that will do the...

How much jack height to lift both wheels?

I'll allow myself jacking this up to the top once, to catch the attention of any knowledgeable lifters out there.

How much jack height to lift both wheels?

Getting a floor jack, trying to find the lowest price and size that will do the job well. I want to lift high enough at one jack point so I can put a (low) jack stand under the other point, jack pad included. Options range from 20" / 510 mm lift (big, pricey) to 14" / 360 mm (cheaper, smaller...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Got my ODB2 connector and had a quick look at some LG 82 kWh data. What say ye O' Battery Whisperers? Can I expect the numbers to go up a bit? Not even past 200 km yet. By the way, is there a security risk in leaving the bluetooth dongle connected? Could someone in theory unlock the car with ODB...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Soon, I have an OBD2 reader coming in the mail. 82 is never net 82 usable is it? High 70s is good for the "82" as far as I understand it.

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Thanks for the cold charging replies. Picked up my Model 3 today. Haven't looked for the sticker, but the code that showed up in the registration docs was E5LD, so it's a nice new LG 82 for me! Very happy about that and happy with the whole car. Ordered Oct 8 by the way, shipped from China...

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

About charging in the cold, why is it that the battery can take very low charging speed when cold but you can still drive and have a higher kW output? Is discharging easier on the chemistry?

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

I take delivery in Norway in one week, the car left Shanghai Oct 21. My invoice says the variant is MT321, which I gather is the Panasonic 82 / BT42 / E3LD. Can that be right?

MASTER THREAD: 2021 Model 3 - Charge data, battery discussion etc

Are there Model 3s delivered with the 5L yet? My Model 3 is on a boat that left Shanghai in October. I hope I don't get the 5C, but the order page said 614 km so I'm guessing/hoping that means it's either 3L or 5L.

    2021 Shipping Movements

You may still get yours. They don't get built to order, so if there's a car on board that matches your order (or gets freed by someone changing or cancelling theirs) you may get assigned underway.
