Make sure you take the trade in off your account. When you get a VIN then tell them you have a trade in and add it back on. If your results are like mine you might find that your trade in value went back up when you added it back in after getting VIN'd.

This is not necessarily accurate but if you go to the order page and switch from LR to performance the headlights are noticeably different on the order page. I am soft matched to a VIN and have not ever got this message or anything similar to it.

The sad part is no one knows and no one at Tesla seems to care. They can't even tell you how vehicles are assigned except that they were previously prioritized by profile date and now they are prioritized by order date. That's all they know and they have absolutely zero control over it.
