Yea, I am ****ing angry. God damn foreign grifters ****ing trying to attempt god damn treason. You can keep your shithole loser politics to yourselves. ****ing *sugar* has been infecting us the past 4 years and it's disgusting. You realize those clowns started their "movement" in 2019 right?

    Snippiness 2.0

I will not trust a word that comes out of anyone's mouth who supports or even believes the "freedom" convoy was genuine or legitimate. Guy got full on clowned or is being grossly misleading and malicious. Either way, he's way out in the weeds with this whole bs.

    Snippiness 2.0

Just because you name your factories after the presses you are installing doesn't mean that these factories are functionally any different or more productive than other advanced manufacturing plants the world over. If he was that good at it I wouldn't have had to get service come out to re-tape...

Would you buy an Iphone made in 2018?

Picked up my Tesla in early December, worst car I've ever owned.

No clue how you could possibly be getting these numbers at all. Here's a road trip I did this winter. Same general temps, I drive it mostly like it's stolen. Snowy mountain passes included. Rarely parked while plugged in (sentry running entire trip as well). There is something comically...

    Some pricing ideas 21’ M3P

Yep I used a similar service north of the border when sold our old 4runner. Was so smooth I was constantly worried I had fallen into a scam. Seems like a great offer for a zero stress transaction.

Run Flat Tires for Model 3 - solution for lack of spare tire

I have a flat repair kit and a pump. Anything worse I have 3 different roadside assistance programs available to me. I'd prefer to cross the bridge when it comes rather than burn space/weight with a spare or bolting on bricks (runflats).

New Tesla Model 3 extended range locked me out, Tesla refused to help

So you locked yourself out of your car and you're looking for someone to blame, got it.

    tires

Yep. I have these for my winter set. Amazing. Would run all year but I still have the 20’s and like running them in the summer better but the crossclimate2 would be great all year.

    Elon Musk

Oh don’t want to talk about him inciting the terrorists with hitler memes?? Cancelled my CT reservation. #Rivian here we go. I haven’t regretted my M3 until that day. I can handle his immature *sugar* but that was so ****ing far over the line I’m still seeing red.

    Elon Musk

I think Elon has subconsciously told us how to deal with issues such as PB, build quality, whatever really. I’m considering parking my M3 sideways in the only in/out of one of the busiest showrooms in one of the highest per-capital regions until they fix PB. He supports that after all so might...

    Phantom Braking

Maybe you quoted the wrong part. Regardless, yes I still think the root of the majority of what people are terming phantom braking is speed limit mismatch.

    Phantom Braking

The funny part about that is that it's really not all that complicated to do intercity drives. If you edit that to add a bit of detail...like include the neighborhood in LA and the Neighborhood in NYC, that could take on every part of the FSD difficulty spectrum. The guy knows how to use...

    Phantom Braking

I disobey the manual most times I drive. I use AP all the time in the city. I pay attention and have my hands at the ready but it drives through intersections, tight spots, open road, dusk, dawn, night, rain...whatever. It's been effectively flawless. In my experience. I use it on the...

    Phantom Braking

I work for a company that has a fleet of autonomous haul trucks carrying thousands of tonnes of aggregate per day. It's heavily geofenced, however, the vehicles operate autonomously and at a very high rate of production. It's a very controlled environment. But they are doing it as good or...

    Phantom Braking

My issue with PB is that people erroneously claim it's unsafe. They're conflating a feeling of frustration with real danger. .2g decel is not going to cause anyone driving in a safe and responsible manner to be even remotely at risk of hitting you. Yea, it's gonna be annoying. Drive...

    Phantom Braking

Having never experienced Phantom Braking in my vision only Model 3, I would like to get a feel from anyone still not dug into one camp or the other about one thing...Is there a chance that a good percentage of these phantom events are the car registering a lower speed limit from a sign (or a...

Hit a pothole and got 2 flats on my Model 3 Performance

Well, I wanted narrower tires. I grew up in real winters and have always vastly preferred narrow tires when the roads turn to dog *sugar*. I also went with what I was seeing stock teslas running for size. I'm not a tire/wheel expert and honestly, maybe would have been a touch better to go with...

Hit a pothole and got 2 flats on my Model 3 Performance

What I did for our winter set on our P: Tires: CROSSCLIMATE 2 size-225/45R18 Wheels: Fast Wheels FC04 Metallic Black size-18x8 boltpattern-5x114.3mm offset-+40hubbore-72.6loadrating-1521 I went with 225 tires and 8" wide wheels for a few reasons which may or may not resonate: 1) I wanted a...

Startled by computer taking over braking [Automatic Emergency Braking]

I'm using the auto safety features to force me to be a more chill driver. It's freaked me (and the wife, ugh, the wife aggro) a few times in very similar instances. But if I am honest, I shouldn't have been so close and been giving more room. Same as you, it was for sure "fuzzy". If someone...

How to turn off the parking brake on a M3?

My only source is my new 3P. When it was snowing hard/raining I would park at home. I have only ever tapped the park. And when I go to leave in the mornings you can feel the pads are lightly binded to the rotors, actually somewhat concerning honestly. So I can say, with 100% confidence, it's...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Thanks for the reply! Yep, understood RE: rear motors. And my reasoning for the question is due to an off-handed comment I saw in a teardown/comparison video that said something about the front motors being made of Copper as opposed to Aluminum for the P front drive unit in the 3. Thanks...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Hi there, sorry to jump in halfway into the chat...I had posted a different thread asking about the front motors on the Model 3 LR and whether they were different physically from the P front motors on new vehicles. What you're saying is that they were all the same, but now the P actually has a...

Performance vs Long Range AWD: Operating Cost…

Performance will cost more. Nothing substantial but will be more. Efficiency - It's not quite as efficient so you'll pay a touch more for the same distance driven. Depending on how you charge this could be virtually zero. Wheels/Tires - Size - Larger wheels = more expensive tires to replace...

    All Season Performance Tires recommendations?

Weird, I have heard the CC2 has great rolling resistance and wear. CC2's have a 100k km warranty. I have them on my 3p and it has freakish grip in the rain.

    All Season Performance Tires recommendations?

The Crossclimate 2's are not very good in the rain, they're PERFECT. Literally freakishly good. You may be thinking of either the older CrossClimate's, or possibly the European CrossClimate2's - They have different designs. The CC2 for North America has different cuts specifically for rain.

    All Season Performance Tires recommendations?

I live in Vancouver BC. Picked up the 3P in October. Grabbed a set of CrossClimate2's. I'll give you my thoughts on your questions, what I bought specifically, and why. YMMV Ok comments on your requirements: 1. They work well, I notice good road feel in the dry. VERY good wet weather...

Thanks! I had done a cursory search for previous posts, it didn't point me to this thread though. I had searched "Model 3 firmware update" I think. Hey everyone, New model 3 owner here. I was hoping to get some advice regarding software version on the car. Picked the car up a couple weeks ago, and is still on 2021.35.102 with no updates available and advanced selected. Issues: - Have a bug that has been presenting with the stereo where...

*2021* Model 3 Performance Uberturbine Wheel Questions (esp for winter wheel and tire swap)

    Leasing / Winters ?

Plenty: - Tax reasons. It's significantly easier, cleaner, and generally more cost effective to write off an operating lease, which this would qualify as. - Life reasons. Some folks don't have time/energy to deal with the transaction of buying and selling a car. The only way you're going to...
