    Dashcam uses a usb port capable of data operations. Some cars do not have a usb port in glove box & use other usb ports for dash cam, music playback, game controllers.

    Yup, barcode labels is what I was going to say. My 2022 MYP with all weather Michelin tires had the sqeak. I ended up getting 19” tires due to road tripping & will get the labels shaved off when I put 21” on again. Bunch of threads about it. Seems most prevalent on MYP.

    The info you were told is incorrect. My usb-c music storage devices are seen if I reboot the computer and I can playback music. The same usb-c device plugged in to a bridge in the glovebox usb-a port works perfectly, no computer reboot needed.

    The usb-a stick tesla provides for dashcam in newer cars is a $28 Samsung bar plus. When bought from Samsung, they have 5 year warranty and are made for extreme heat and cold. They use the same endurance memory chips as the endurance line of products but don’t advertise the fact.

    Try your usb-c ports for music playback etc if you have an extra usb-c storage device. My usb-c devices stopped working but if I use a usb-c to usb-a adapter so I can plug in a usb-a device in to the usb-c port, then it works.
