    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I'm assuming we can still use the nav, even as it is now I seldom check the visualisation on purpose. More often that's a 'byproduct' of me checking the nav

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Saw this in X, apparently this is in Australia? Maybe limited to employees only for now

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Just had a look this morning, weirdly I am on the old software 2023.44.30.8 and also 2023 navigation update, but the third party charging stations are there. Difference is when I'm purposely navigating to one of it, precondition doesn't happen (I'm guessing this needs the new 2024 software update)

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Curious to see if those third party stations are considered in route planning?

    Superchargers in Australia

I was thinking the next "burst" of SC will happen before the long holiday period in April, but looking at your data Chuq - that's not necessarily true.

Is there something wrong with MYLR?

As per paulp above, recalibrating might help. In saying that, I wouldn't trust it in roundabouts. Re: the auto wiper, it can be turned off since recent updates (2023.44.30.x)
  7. R

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yes, under new software (at least mine, 2023.44.30.7 and 2023.44.30.8) you can set it off

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Similar experience, with 44.30.5.1 total travel of roughly 150km I had to keep pressing the wiper button. Weirdly with the versions before (<44.30.1), mine was ok. Sometimes it did dry wipes, but not excessive - usually when it was quite dirty.

Some improvement there. Does the green light chime still sound when you're on those left/right turn only still showing red light?
  11. R

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

    Not applicable to AU (yet)

Might only be available for cars without USS. Saw people who have USS in EU mentioned they don't have this feature in 2023.44.30

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Good to know that it does something but yes I guess it's a temporary workaround from the looks of things. Doing this over and over again would be frustrating. Once you reset the calibration, did you go over multi lane roads? The service page states: To calibrate, cameras require highly-visible...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

This. I still have no idea why some of my friends' AP / TACC behaves very differently compared to mine ie: slow downs, phantom braking and so on. If it happens to me, I would try to reset the calibration and drive through those multi lane highways. But again, this might not help - just my...

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

That’s good news then. Hope it comes here and applies to all models though somehow I doubt it.

Supercharger - Port Macquarie (Thrumster), NSW

Only 5 minutes drive from existing SC, quite possibly to replace it?

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I might be in the minority, but none of these feel like needing an NDA...

    Cybertruck Waiting Room - Australia

Lock to lock in less than half a turn sounds interesting to me personally - might need time to get used to I guess
  20. R

    Cybertruck Waiting Room - Australia

Saw the article in Teslarati someone checked Tesla's page source code apparently estimated $16,000 for the extender On another point, watching recent youtube videos - there seems to have some (very?) sharp edges around the CT.

Potential new charger (or two) at Ettamogah Pub, Kellyville Ridge

Looking at the app, it's already listed: The Ettamogah 1x CCS2 25kw 1x Chademo 25kw $0.46c per kWh I didn't realise Jolt already has an idle fee. To be fair I never use them before

    Model 3 Highland live now

    It's not that bad then
  23. R

    Model 3 Highland live now

I just realised as well since there's no stalk - changing gear has to be from the main display screen. So if the screen froze for whatever reason, I can't put in it Park - say if I'd like to pull over. There's a high chance I'm just overthinking this too 🤣

    Tesla Model Y-LR in Australia

According to Chargehq it seems like contactor wear is more for the UMC not the HV battery. https://chargehq.net/kb/reducing-contactor-wear

Does the camera preview work when reversing? Or it has to be in "P"

    Superchargers in Australia

I just read in ABC that Cassegrain Wines enters administration. I wonder what happens to the SC if the winery closes down https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-06-09/cassiegrain-wines-enters-voluntary-administration-nsw/102460184

    Evie EV charging networks

They just announced some new sites, interestingly Robina is the only one getting 4x CCS (no Chademo) 50kw

    Supercharger - Blaxland, NSW

In car nav still hasn’t showed up..

    NRMA fast charging network

Diversifying the brands of chargers used in the network? I thought they're all Tritium

How about reverse what moa999 said one post above, does that work? I usually set it to Current Speed..

Or you can use "Asks every time", this way it will just hover over your last option without actually selecting it.

Speed Assist still not working on 2023.12.1.1

Yeah this is weird. Had a new roadwork sign 40km/h which was placed some weeks ago and my model Y picked it up (back then it was still on 2023.6.11) Just updated to 2023.12.1.1 and it still picks up the roadwork sign this morning.
  33. R

    ARENA/NRMA national fast charging network

Has it been confirmed each site to have 4x75kw (presumably 2x Chademo + 2x CCS2)?
  34. R

Sydney to Canberra in a Model Y RWD

You probably need to do the same run if you're comparing apple to apple, since Lithgow sits much higher than Canberra. My recent return trip to Canberra avg was about 152Wh/km, although I am using smaller wheels in my P.
  35. R

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Seems like Regen level option is back from that video (Low and Standard). Twitterverse also mentions speedometer getting bold font too - haven't got mine, so can't confirm

    Supercharger - Exeter, NSW

Come for the charger, stay for the pie (or is it the other way around) Doesn’t seem to be any progress. There was a pickup truck parked nearby with someone I thought checking something inside the charging stalls. Alas when I came out from ordering pie, the pickup truck has left.

    Tesla Model Y-LR in Australia

I don’t know much about Atto3 but I’ve found Tesla’s in car SoC guesstimate is pretty accurate and so far never heard of anyone following what Tesla told to do resulting in someone stuck somewhere without juice. I hope your neighbor learned from their mistake and not dismissing EV completely...

    Tesla Model Y-LR in Australia

384km means 0-100% consumption is 195wh/km. Just to add another data point: I have done all highway trips of 110km/h and my MYP consumption is nowhere near 195wh/km (ie: it is lower). Just checked my teslafi, my latest NSW-ACT trip was 170wh/km
  39. R

    Tesla Model Y-LR in Australia

To add another data point: I only have 3000km with my YP, but so far there is no phantom braking. Drove through highways quite often including also some dodgy two lane roads with 100km/h limit in pitch dark. I wonder why experiences are so different, could it depend on how the cameras were...

    Supercharger - Gundagai NSW

I seriously hope nobody’s stuck because of this.
  41. R

    Supercharger - Campbelltown, NSW

In car now says temporary closure
  42. R

    Supercharger - Gundagai NSW

Such a bad timing. I can already picture the headlines of “Australia is not ready for EV”
  43. R

    Superchargers in Australia

No worries. ABRP - it's an alternative 3rd party route planning site. There are lots of variables to pick from there, if just starting - you can pick "only use Tesla SC" for the route planning.
  44. R

    Superchargers in Australia

I think Power Hungry was referring to supercharger during road trips. I doubt people would just park for hours at an SC unless they don't care about idle fees. Assuming the LR arriving here is the same with P, you can charge to 80 for your daily trips and if you need, charge to 100 no issue...
  45. R

    Superchargers in Australia

The winners have been announced. Does this mean we'll get these?
  46. R

    Evie EV charging networks

Does Taree have a power problem in the area? I remember both Evie stations went down for a prolonged period of time. Then there's no news about the SC that's supposed to be in here as well.
  47. R

    Superchargers in Australia

I wonder if that could be because none of our third party chargers meet the SLA criteria 😆
  48. R

    Supercharger - Campbelltown, NSW

Wondering if the killer hump has been removed?
  49. R

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I think Australian cars latest is only up to 2023.6.8 at the moment
