Yup, happened to me. In minus 10 degrees celsius weather 150 km from home. It was a cold ride back! Like Boones said, open a service ticket and have Tesla fix it. It took a couple of visits but they finally fixed it and climate has been working great ever since.

Me. Car didn't slam to a full stop, but braked hard enough for no apparent reason to scare me a little. It's also tried to pull me into the wrong lane a couple of times.

This just happened to me last night. Turned on my cruise control and my wipers went crazy - at full speed. My windshield was bone dry and clean. Very distracting to have to fuddle with the wiper control (only for it to have no effect). I had to exit cruise control to get the wipers to stop...

FWIW, I got the vent covers and installed them. Took 5 minutes. They're pretty flimsy and I couldn't get one to snap into place quite as firmly as the other, but they are in place and so far under the driver's seat that no rear seat passenger should be able to kick them out of place. Hopefully...

Yup, just happened to me too. Talk about a chilly ride home in sub zero temps. Thank goodness the heated seats and steering wheel still worked. Car isn't even a year old. Now they want me to drive more than another hour to the nearest SC. Not thrilled about that.

This happens to me from time to time with a software update. usually the problem resolves itself within a day or two. Until then, I have to pull my actual key card out of my wallet to get into the car and drive it. It's a little irritating but not the end of the world

It's really annoying. Especially if you don't know if it's a stupid rock.... or an important component of the car that's come loose. I just ordered my vent covers online. I didn't spend hours researching the options, but I found some covers that secure in place with double-sided tape and others...

So... my issue was a small rock got into the vent opening. Had to drive 70 minutes to my nearest Tesla SC but the technician was able to blow it out of the vent with compressed air. Fortunately, he didn't charge me for this, but I figure it's just a matter of time before something else gets in...

Were you able to find any objects in the vent? I have this rolling sound, but it seems to be travelling a good distance from one side of the vehicle to the other

Hmm... strange indeed. Maybe others will have encountered this issue and have an easy fix.

Is your MY new? This happened to us when we first got ours. So we had the service tech come out and he recalibrated the windows (or something like that). I think it took him just a few minutes. It's probably something we could have done ourselves, had we looked in the owner's manual.

If you have your high beams set to auto and it's dark enough outside, they should come on. I drive on country roads all the time. Sometimes I initially have to turn my high beams on, but then the auto function kicks in.

I've noticed that my high beams are more sensitive to oncoming lights too. Problem seems to have resolved itself. Nice :)

I'll keep that in mind the next time my phone key suddenly stops working. As far as I know my app is always open, but who knows?

I find it happens from time to time after a software update. For your wife's phone, has she used her phone as a car key yet to drive the car without you and your phone in it?) If yes, then the car sees her phone. It should unlock the doors.

Thanks for your responses. Does anyone else just wait to see if the phone and car eventually re-sync? Or am I the only one (out of sheer laziness). So far, they have always resynced within 3 days at most.

Yes, I do that - all the time. I was just wondering if there was a way to make the "auto" high beams actually automatic, instead of manually having to control them 90% of the time. I guess it's just how the front cameras on the car pick up oncoming lights.

In case it helps: When we bought our MYLR AWD last fall, we joined a new owner presentation and the one thing the presenter kept repeating was: A plugged in Tesla is a happy Tesla. So we keep our MY plugged in all the time when not in use.

I had no idea you could do this. This sounds pretty handy (assuming there's someone at the other end who's listening). Which also begs the question: Does that mean every time we use voice command, there's someone at the other end who's listening?

I think that depends heavily on where you live. If you live in a snowy region where roads are covered in some form of ice and/or snow basically from Dec to Apr, it takes a whopping storm to keep people off the roads. Life must go on. If you'll be driving on cold roads, snow or ice = winter tires.

I REALLY wish it could. My garage ceiling is low so I've adjusted the height of the liftgate accordingly. Which means everyone inevitably hits their head on the latch. Man does that hurt! Tesla, if you're reading this, my head is begging you to make the adjustment location-specific!
