At the end of the day, I don't track my car, maybe an autocross here or there but nothing regular. I just hate feeling the stiffness of the suspension and would like it to be as close to a "softer" setup. I may even go down to 18s if it means a softer ride, the 2020 MYP suspension is harsh.

So I don't know anyone that would have two different kits I'm just asking if anyone has driven or rode in one with a different kit.

For me it is more about the comfort. I drive about 120 to 150 miles.

Thank you all for the input you guys have given, I've got a 2020 model y performance and the suspension is absolute crap. I switch from the 21 in to the 19in Gemini's but the ride is still pretty rough. I've tried lowering the PSI and it is somewhat bearable but not really what you would expect...

Still waiting to hear back from the manager but I've approved the repairs so they can atleast start working on it.

Just a thought but the people that are reporting issues here are the ones that actually use this forum... how many others are there out there with the same issue that go unreported after warranty

So small update but not really, spoke with the manager and of course they said no to the recalls regarding the heat pump because my VIN does not match up with the recalls. I explain to him I had previously reported the issue but because it was not replicable, nothing was done. No error...no...

60k on mine, would probably be closer to 65k or higher but had a baby so it sat idle for a couple months 🤣 Any major issues with yours?

You're right I'm out of warranty but I'm probably also one of the few Ys that have hit 60k miles in such a short period. Let's see in a few years if this becomes a common problem. 😉

I agree with what you have mentioned as well, alternator is not necessarily part of the drivetrain so wouldn't be covered but I think the other argument has some validity to it as well. On a car such as our EVs, would you say a heat pump is a necessity?

Yeah, basically and the fact that I've been waiting months for service for other issues isn't really relevant to them. I spoke with a manager who seemed hopeful in that they may help but not cover the entire bill...🤷‍♂️🤦🙈

Found out from service, heat pump is NOT part of the battery system...🤦 Not after 50k miles...

That's true that it is part of the battery system

I am going to see if they will cover it under Goodwill because there are several recalls regarding the heat pump already out and considering this was one of the first iteration I am sure there are issues They won't do anything if they didn't have any errors....

Oh and they mentioned they need to replace all of the HVAC component because shrapnel went into the system when the heat pump stopped working
