It's not. It's some type of humidity/temperature sensor that seems to only work with HW4 camera system. So the part is limited, so I'm being told.

The tint guys got residue on a sensor behind the mirror when installing the dash film. Have to have it replaced. Waiting on parts. Tesla was kind enough to cover it under warranty because HW4 parts are backordered. I'm grateful.

It was the spray used to do the tint. It put a residue on something behind the mirror. Part need to be replaced $95, but Tesla said they would cover it bc it was going to take two weeks to get the part.

Thank you for all your replies. I have service appointment tomorrow. There was a software update, but it didn't change anything. Plus, I went into the 'service' setting and ran a few tests, but everything came back 'passing.' There's a bunch of errors with something to do with the 'VCRIGHT'...

Possibly. But Tesla is in the for-profit business and they have shareholders, like myself. Right now, they should be looking at exit strategies for preowned vehicles. Not keeping consumer trade sales tax benefits for that profit.

Yes. What I don’t expect is to pull the trade bc I know better and they were taking too long. So they told me 30 minutes. Had me take photos of the car, again. Call my bank for a payoff bc they couldn’t do it. Wait 4 hours for a low number.

...btw...my delivery is noon this Monday, it's 2:17 Saturday afternoon, an hour drive for pick up, and I'm still waiting for a trade number. In my experience, their numbers are so low, that asking for pictures and waiting this long is just 'I don't care' attitude.

As far as Carvana, that's what I'm finding. Currently, they're at $44.4k for a '22 MYP Gray/Black w/ 14k miles. Carmax is $41k, and SellMyEV.com is maybe $40k. Tesla trade in approx is $36-39k...translation $35k (in my experience).

I'm sure many have expected experiences which part of the reason for Tesla's success. Not getting tax credit for a Porsche can be excessive/expensive reason to pass.

Tesla has always been well below wholesale. They’re banking off the convenience of trading and keeping your, what would be your tax credit as a profit. I can assure you, when it comes time, for Tesla, to sell your previous vehicle they have a team maximizing profit.

Eventually, someone is going to sue them for deceptive business practices. $250 non-refundable deposit and you don’t even know what kind of options you’re getting or when you’re getting it? And before the lawyers on here jump in, no court will hold up advertising to consumers with delivery date...

Tesla gets the same numbers as any other dealership in the country. While region may have different values on the same vehicle; Tesla’s numbers are significantly lower than most other offers. Which really hampers taking advantage of state tax credit.

While this statement is true in of itself, let’s not forget Tesla trade-in values have always been less desirable and inaccurate. I would love to be the buyer for Tesla. And I can assure you, they are shopping trades for top dollar.
