Best Stopping Mode for Motorway Driving?

This is extremely interesting, thanks for the explanation. It makes sense that driving more slowly results in less air resistance, which in turn increases efficiency, alongside the duration of the journey. As pgkevet mentions above, the journey duration difference between 60mph and 70mph isn't...

Best Stopping Mode for Motorway Driving?

Oh, is regen exactly the same on a motorway? So If I was in roll mode at 70mph, and took my foot off the accelerator, the car would slow down as quickly as it does in Hold mode?

Best Stopping Mode for Motorway Driving?

50% of my driving in my Model 3 is on motorways, very early in the morning. As such, there's rarely any other traffic around, and I'm very rarely called upon to use the brake (in any car I've driven). It's 30 miles of nonstop, constant, 70mph. This got me thinking. Since I picked up my M3 at...

Any way to split out home charging from regular energy bill?

Just downloaded Tessie. Looking through the desktop dashboard it looks amazing - can't wait to start seeing the data as it goes. I've added my electricity kWh cost, but can't see where I'd enter the fuel cost - could you let me know where that is? A direct comparison per journey would be really...

    Paying from Multiple Bank Accounts

I pick up my car on Saturday (it's Thursday as I type), and have an outstanding balance of £37,990 to pay (the Tesla price minus my £13k trade in). I can only send £25k a day from my bank, and I haven't yet received my final invoice, so can't make any payments yet. Assuming I get my final...

MOT of trade in expires this month

How is someone supposed to get an MOT carried out on their car with 48 hours notice? I pick the car up on Saturday - if Tesla rang me today and said my trade in needed to be MOT'd before then, I'd have to refuse and cancel delivery. No way I could take a day off work, or find a garage to do an...

MOT of trade in expires this month

This is a huge relief, I was worried I’d end up at the Tesla garage having to stump up the extra £13k, or walk away without it.

MOT of trade in expires this month

So, I pick up my Model 3 on Saturday, and will trade in my current car at the same time. I’ve accepted Tesla’s final offer. I realised that my MOT on my current car expires on December 21st. I believe Tesla may require the MOT to be valid for at least 30 days after trade in - can anyone...

Am I mad to take delivery without a charging point installed?

Noted! Btw, what do you mean by 'charging losses'?

Am I mad to take delivery without a charging point installed?

Ah not to worry - I think I must've ordered at the worst time, right after the £1,500 price rise and the free 1,000 miles offer ended! But, from ordering to collection was only two weeks, so I suppose you can't have it all!

Am I mad to take delivery without a charging point installed?

That's great to hear. If you don't mind me asking, what sort of price did you pay for that charge?

Am I mad to take delivery without a charging point installed?

Not a downer at all, I appreciate the added perspective. I suppose I'll just have to give it a go and see how it all pans out. I could always wake up an hour earlier on the odd day and head to a Supercharger if I need to!

Am I mad to take delivery without a charging point installed?

Thanks Vanilla. I think it'll be a bit tight relying solely on the home charger, and I guess at this time of year the expected range and charge can deviate downwards. Add into the mix one excited owner and ridiculous power, I think I could easily get a bit carried away with it. I have a Tesla...

Am I mad to take delivery without a charging point installed?

So adding 8-9 miles an hour, would only need to be plugged in for 10 hours a day (theoretically 9pm-6am) to replace the charge lost by my regular commute + incidentals. OK - I feel a bit more relaxed!

Am I mad to take delivery without a charging point installed?

I'm taking delivery of my M3LR on Saturday, and only submitted the paperwork to Pod Point for a 7KW wall charger yesterday - the car wasn't originally due until next March! I haven't had any kind of response from them about potential install dates (understandably!), but do you think it's a bad...

Any way to split out home charging from regular energy bill?

Great - I've download ev.energy - looks like it ticks all the boxes with total charging costs in one place. Thanks.

Any way to split out home charging from regular energy bill?

Hi all. I'm picking up my M3LR on Saturday (only two weeks after ordering it - I feel like Christmas has come early!) and I had a question around charging at home. 1. We can't switch energy supplier at the minute (because of the energy company issues), but is there any way to split out the...

Wiki UK 2021 Orders and Pending Deliveries

Can't believe I'm typing this, but I just scheduled delivery of my Tesla this Saturday! This is my first post on the forum, but I thought it was worth outlining my timeline: Nov 22nd: Test drive M3LR, and placed order. Nov 26th: Vehicle arrival date being calculated. Nov 30th: Schedule...
