X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

Currently we have zero public superchargers available. The one in moscow is not operated by tesla but is privately owned supercharger, only available to club members. There are superchargers planned between St-Petersburg and Moscow, however they've been in "planned" status for some time now :)

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

Either way, how can Tesla state that the pack is 90kwh when theoretical max capacity is only 85.8kwh? I guess you can call it 85+, but definitely not a 90 pack. Wasn't there a model S with 85+ badging? I mean people are making purchase decisions based on that information. I wouldn't be...

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

Thanks for your input Olivier, however I would not agree on your calculation. I reported 62 not 65kwh left, and in my experience 26 km of range does not equal to 5kwh. You have probably watched Bjorn's video where he got stuck on the road with 14 km of rated range. The same thing happend to me...

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

I rarely get limited regen in the morning because the car sits overnight in a heated garage. I do get limited regen if the car sits outside any considerable amount of time. Either way, I am reporting real world numbers and not EPA numbers. On a side note, I turned on range mode on today to see...

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

It was several trips, but all in one day (less than 24 hours). Thats how generally people use their cars. They go some place, then stay there for a bit, then maybe go to some other place and then come home. How would several trips impact range more? Even if it does impact in some way, I think it...

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

AnxietyRanger, thanks for taking time and providing valuable info. Its really false advertising I think. I don't think summer consumption is that much different. If I remember right it was still around 250 wh per kilometer or 400 wh per mile. I don't recall how much kwh I was able to pull out...

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

oh, and by the way, I have never supercharged the pack, nor charged using public charging stations, only through mobile connector.

Model X 90kWh battery pack degradation

Me neither. More like 65 kwh available consumption at 90% charge. davidc18, did Tesla buy your car back or did they replace your battery pack?

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

In my understanding, consumption means total energy spent. It should include heating the cabin, the pack, wipers etc. Its misleading to exclude those things from consumption

X90D is really a 65kwh pack with 150 mile range

Greetings from europe (Russia). I guess another complaint about range on a one year old X90D (overall a great car). Its winter and the temperature is not crazy cold here, today only 1 degree celcius (35 fahrenheit). The car has winter studded tires with 19 inch tesla wheels. I have charged the...

    Totally lost the brakes!

For what its worth, I did check the brake fluid level and it appears to be ok. The level is at just below the max mark. Probably will need to visit service center.

    Totally lost the brakes!

I had a somewhat similar experience today. I was in a traffic situation where I had to press the brakes hard to stop the car, and the brake pedal went all the way down with a bit of pumping action from the ABS along with a "low brake fluid" message. The car did stop in time but I felt that it...

    Missing reservoir cap

The washer fluid is on the driver's side, but this is on passenger side. It is a good point about fluid level. There is some fluid inside, but some might have spilled out.

    Missing reservoir cap

Thanks a bunch for the photos! It's definitely coolant. I'll contact a service center to see if they could send me a cap. Looks like it supposed to be under pressure too.

    Chassis' VIN

    Thanks, that helps.

    Chassis' VIN

Yeah, I have the owner's manual. Page 151 says to remove the maintenance panel in the Frunk and chassis' VIN should be under that panel, however I couldn't find a stamp anywhere.

    Chassis' VIN

A picture is worth a thousand words :) Where is the sill panel? Is it the metal piece that you step on as you get into the car? If so, how do you remove it? It seems quite sturdy.

    Missing reservoir cap

Thanks for the reply! Brake fluid has a cap, it's on the driver's side, so it must be battery coolant. I already put bubble wrap on top (couldn't really find anything else), so hoping tesla will reach out about this. People should check theirs, might be missing a cap as well.
  20. S

    Missing reservoir cap

No, it's definitely a clear plastic reservoir with some kind of fluid in it and the top portion of the reservoir has threads for a cap to screw onto.

    Missing reservoir cap

Hello all, Just took delivery of model x and noticed something is missing. Has anyone ever opened the front trunk rear plastic cover near the windshield wipers? I have a cap missing on a reservoir of some kind with fluid in it. Does anybody know what that reservoir is for and what the cap should...

    Chassis' VIN

Does anyone know where the chassis' VIN number is stamped on Model X? I know that Roadster's chassis VIN is stamped behind the right wheel well. Need the vin location for inspection in Europe. Thanks.

Best Model X review made in Russia.

The configuration page for non EU orders (Russia, Turkey and Iceland) requires that you pickup your car in Tilburg, Netherlands and ship it to Russia on your own. How convenient is that? There is a store in Finland. Why can't people pick it up there? Also, if something goes wrong with the car...

    Tesla vehicles for Russian market

I remember in some interview, Elon said that there is a lot of localization software that needs to be written, because each market has its own set of regulations, but nevertheless it should not be a big problem to translate everything. He also said that Tesla doesn't have a demand generating...

    Tesla vehicles for Russian market

I think Elon said that Tesla Motor's policy is not to make money on service. He said that its horrible that people have to overpay for service. That will definitely contradict with regular shop's policy :)

    Tesla vehicles for Russian market

At the moment, when the car is imported to Russia by a private person, you must have a vehicle title or a similar document stating that you are indeed the owner. The title will state the engine horsepower. That number will be used as the official horsepower for taxation purposes (for US...

    Tesla vehicles for Russian market

Well, in Russia they will definitely take the peak output as the basis for transportation tax, because it generates more money :) As an example, for model S with 416HP motor, yearly transportation tax would approximately be $2000. With 249HP, about $550 a year. (251 HP and it quickly becomes...

    Tesla vehicles for Russian market

Just recently, russian government has made a decision to stimulate russian people to purchase electric vehicles outside the country and import them without any customs duties. The validity period for duty free import is from february 1st, 2014 till december 31st, 2015. Normally people would...
