Shut off as in? I don’t use the climate control feature. Are you referring to the cabin overheat protection?

Not really. It stops usually when the outside temperature goes down, like maybe 85°. Otherwise even in the garage or on the street parked, it continues the jet engines sound.

I noticed this a couple weeks ago when we were seeing 110 degrees in the day. And seeing it today when it went up to 102. What I noticed was an extremely loud fan sound which seemed to be the car trying to cool down the battery or something. It shouldn’t be the cabin overheat protection...

First service appointment completed recently. They fixed everything except the one dead USB port which needs a part. The sensor is still not fixed, and that will also be addressed when I take the car in for the USB port fix. Adding this info here to balance out some of the horror stories at...

I had that issue. VINned at the end of March, unmatched the same day, and even though they put me on some priority list for a new match they eventually matched me back to the same VIN. That was one long month.

Updated sig. I added FSD when the conventional wisdom was that expedited deliveries. Whether or not it helped, i don’t know, but I was unable to remove it. So bottom line, I have FSD, navigate on autopilot, summon, smart summon, etc. but haven’t seen auto park show up at all.

Interesting. At night we won’t have the keys nearby but during the day our phones will be in range.

I don’t have auto summon, so that #1 is not an issue. I like #2 anyway so will keep it. For #3, does having the Tesla widget make it seem like you have opened the app? I have the iPhone widget to get quick access to the 4 commands they show. For now I have turned off Sentry mode so let’s see.

I don’t even check too much from the app because I have Sentry off at home so there is nothing to check. I am going to monitor until the service appointment and if it continues, may need them to check it out.

Re: CarPlay I am not quite there yet. Skipping ahead in podcasts (Overcast) using BT is a perceptible time lag from the tap to the actual skip. Waze with the police presence heads up is also an important one I miss esp with the ease to get to 90mph without even realizing it 😀

Another small bit: I am seeing a battery drain of about 10 miles overnight. Sentry mode is turned off for Home. Anything else that can explain the drain?

Makes sense, given the constraints of their supply chain that they would make whatever they can and ship aggressively vs make aggressively and ship as they make.

Nope - the airbag issue is still not resolved. Apparently nothing being delivered, which is why this forum has gone into topics like snacks at super chargers and tinting on different windows in different parts of North America. Need to shake the VIN machine.

As a fellow de-VINner, I know how you feel. I have been emailing multiple SA's and the ordersupport email daily. Some days I heard back, some days I don't. The bottom line is I don't know when I will get a new VIN (or get re-matched with the old VIN). And hence, more lurking on this forum/thread.
