Drove to a local Discount Tire, found nail and got fixed under 2 hours. Sales did recommend for tire warranty, declined. Good experience so far.

Also need turn on overheat protection if weather is extreme? I noticed when I parked car outside that function always kicked in which drains battery. It reaches 105 within 5 minutes for Texas summer.

Roof sunshade works pretty good.. Picked up a two piece (upgrade version) from Amazon, no sag. blocked sun. And can take it off during winter time.

I found CTA being very helpful. sound alert saved me multiple times. depends on camera screen size,lighting and other things, one may not be able to see things clearly on camera.

Want to report: Just got the model Y today, when backing out from driveway, a SUV drove pass me, like 2 feet away from rear end of tesla, really scared me, because I assumed tesla has cross traffic alert. Looks like Tesla does NOT have this function. Even my 10 years old Buick has it.

I found out daily rate for me is small. Comparing with all the emotional stress associated with this whole thing, so I went ahead set date as a few days before EDD. One less thing to worry about.

Seen you are in same location, I think this applies to you as well: unlike other places where people can bring cashiers' check to Tesla on the day of delivery, no can't do for Austin folks. You can: * mail check to Fremont (they will provide instructions) * enter your bank info in Tesla App...

On payment front, I was just told by Tesla they do not accept payment on this site (Austin), I need mail cashier's check to Fremont. In this case I guess I will have to pay before delivery date, I intend to give them my bank account information. Will that be wire transfer or ACH? anybody knows...

Move on is what I will do. Too much hassle to flip. See any worth relatives want one, maybe.

From you current EDD, based on my personal experience, I'd watch out for next week or so if EDD changes (shrink to smaller range). If that happens, it's a good sign you will get it before end of this month.

My EDD changed to May 11-May 24, still no VIN. I HATE this waiting game.

my window got shortened to 2 weeks, from 04/23-05/21, to now 05/14-05/26. The problem is I will be out of town during second half of this window. Will Tesla allow a few days delay of taking delivery?

I bought tesla wall charger last December, that's $500, installation quote is another 1200. I was getting so fed up about waiting, looked at BMW IX, thinking about switching. then not sure BMW wait time and charging. I keep hoping Tesla will arrive but seeing so many got pushed, I might be next.

Do you guys install home wall charger before getting VIN? I am debating now. Want to see what others do.
