Perhaps if there is no passenger it should revert to non split, and then when it detects a passenger again it reverts to whatever was the last split setting. That would be ideal. At least for me.

For me it's about turning down the heat on passenger side, when there is no passenger, by simply clicking the "-" button on the screen to reduce the temp on passenger side, which is what I currently do. I can do it easily while driving and barely looking. Now I need to start popping up controls...

What you have defined there is an equation with an imaginary number. So to simplify: FSDb = FSDp + iFSDj where i^2 = -1 Which actually makes a lot of sense. Some people imagine FSDb to be better than others :cool:

The point I was trying to make, and why I disagreed, is that I did not have an issue before with the old freeway stack, unless it rained really hard. In a light drizzle it worked just fine in the past. Now with combined stack it complains with a slightest bit of rain. This is a regression.

Seriously? It used to only complain when it rained hard. Now it complains even for a slight drizzles. If it can't handle that then FSD is a major fail.

One serious regression of FSD merge is I now get "FSD maybe degraded due to poor weather" warning on freeways, plus loud double ding sound, every minute when it rains, which is all the time in Seattle. FSD seems to work fine, and it would not bother me, except for the annoying sound!
