Plaid rear tire wear - going after Michelin again - share your experiences?

This is my fourth set of Mich PS4S and the third set ready to come apart on the inner tread corners of each tire. When the first set (T2s) came apart at just over 6,000 miles Michelin stepped up and paid for a second set. The second set did a bit better but didn't last very long either. Third...

As owners, any chance we will ever get the opportunity to buy the full diagnostics suite that their service centers have access to? And why not?

Getting tired of not being able to diagnose my own car when I am simply locked out of a computer that can tell me what to check.

Thought I would share my "Tesla Experience"!

Backed out of my garage and driveway for the hundreth-ish time today. Here is what buttons I pressed to leave my property; 1. Garage - Activate 2. Garage (to open the Homelink remotes pull down- but not activate the Garage) 3. Gate (to open the gate) 4. Garage (not Garage - Activate) 5. Gate...

    Dear Tesla

Although I am really enjoying my “seamless Tesla experience” please add an App for Audible. You may have heard of them. They are somewhat popular. Oh, and while you are at it, the Apple Music app could use some improvement. Okay a lot. Whatever you do, don’t let us have Apple Carplay and Android...

1/8th mile Drag Racing - Need to find 0.06 seconds! Any suggestions?

I can get close to a 5 second 1/8th mile. My times are right around 6.05 seconds. Battery is 90%+, drag strip mode/ready, cheetah mode sometimes, tires at 40 psi, suspension low, car emptied of any extra cargo, tires are relatively fresh. I have tried tires higher/lower psi, various...

Smoked a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ in the stoplight derby.

I could hear him coming a mile away. Sounded, and looked amazing. He was behind me making a left onto a two-lane roadway. I knew he saw my Plaid badge and he might try to make a move past me just after the turn. Most cars I would ignore, but I just couldn't let this one by. And he sure did...

So my new Plaid with 8,760 miles on it destroyed its rear tires from faulty factory set toe-in.

I feel Tesla should cover this since it is so recent. They said they don't cover tires. Michelin said they would cover 2/3 of the cost of replacement tires. Any suggestions on how best to handle this?

First Service Visit Takeaways - Mixed

Took the car in for damaged suspension linkage replacement and an alignment. Had an appointment. Price: Estimate number was not bad and they stuck to their number. Length: Ok. The appointment had me waiting 6 days, then it took them two weeks to do a 2 hour job. In their defense, they were...

How is Tesla service? Wary of sloppy dealer work.

My new Tesla Plaid is a verified Tesla. It came with a small dent UNDER the paint, not the best fitting body panels, etc. I am happy with all that. From past other brand dealership experiences, I am wary of sloppy work and crooked practices. There is one thing I should have fixed though...

I thought Tesla was a fix-it-yourself type of company? What gives?

This is their idea of FIY?

How to remove the back seat rear cover?

Plastic, apparently snap-on covers on the back of the split fold rear seat. I have one that rattles and I want to pop it off and goop it up. Very tempted to pop it off but just in case there is some sort of clever attaching system, I don't want to bust it.

How easy is it to adjust the max charging amps of the current Tesla Wall Connector?

I like the maximum rate of this but I may need to charge on a generator once in a while and would want to ramp the rate down to something more manageable like 20A if I'm on the generator. I read that the WC is setup initially with the Commissioning Wizard but I haven't found any examples...

What is the maximum AC (not DC Supercharger) charging rate for the internal charger on a Plaid?

I found here, that the internal AC charger on the Plaid is rated at 16.5KW. Backing that out to a typical 220V home circuit (like an electric range or dryer), 16,500W / 220V = 75 Amps. So if I bought the 14-50 adapter for the Mobile Connector, and supply it with a 50A breaker, will I charge at...

Why are the Plaids so delayed?

The Plaids were not supposed to be delayed (6 weeks in December) but here I am going on three months looking at four. Anyone have ideas of what gives?
