And then there's running a coolant loop by the brake pads as a sort of crappy middle ground. Won't save your brakes, but will heat the battery with excess energy in winter. :P

What did it for us is the winning combination of spacious cabin, comfortable ride, awesome amounts of storage space for whatever you want to take with you, and still really good handling and performance (we've had snow, though we don't have an icy steep driveway so I can't speak for that...)...

S85 already has enough torque to hit the traction limit with standard tires on regular roads (!).
