I said available kWh which is basically the same as amp hours.
Also, other than the monitoring your own car, do you have a reputable source to substantiate your claim re temperature? On neither of my Tesla have I seen the range change due to the battery either being very cold (UK) or very hot...
The range is an estimate based on the available kWh multiplied by a fixed miles/kWh. The range displayed does not change based on weather, how you drive, the position of the moon, etc.
The available kWh is actually quite difficult for the BMS (Battery Management System) to determine and it does...
There have been a few comments in this thread regarding a "tracker". Be careful. The feature of seeing the location of your car is not unique to Tesla (our Zoe has it too!) and does NOT meet the specifications for (almost?) all insurers. Do NOT say it has one or you may not be covered.
A...
Reducing VAT down from 20% is a very bad idea because it benefits the wealthy not those struggling to pay their bills, mortgage, rent, etc. There is no VAT on food, children's clothes, etc. and already little on energy...
The UK government has no interest in subsidising the cost of expensive EVs, especially in these difficult times. The now ended PICG made that crystal clear.
The salary sacrifice schemes and low BIK are still a very attractive option for those who can take advantage. That too is costing the...
Both Intelligent Octopus and Go are fixed for a year. You also normally get the rate on the date you start the switch, occasionally you need to contact them once switched to get it sorted.
So far (28 Aug) the rates haven't changed but with the new cap now announced they will soon, so switch...
That would be a tad awkward when friends in non Tesla visit and can't charge. Just switch off the power (flip MCB) if you aren't around and think it might happen.
However, I suspect you didn't hear that first hand and it is yet another myth perpetuated by those with an anti-EV agenda. Just like...
OH bought her Model 3 LR in 2019 when there was still £3500 grant and before all the recent increases. Result was that she only lost around £2500 in depreciation - sold it last week to WBAC. For a new car to retain 95% of value after 3 years is bonkers!
Over those 3 years there was no...
OH is collecting early September and has the reg but it isn't recognised on any insurance site. Presumably because it won't be actually registered until the day of collection?
The parts issue is the same for Model 3 (and many makes of car at present) so we are still puzzled why her Model Y quote is so much higher. Maybe as someone above says, the cost difference is due to comparing a new car and one 3 years old? I guess it is also possible the profile of Model Y...
OH is also finding quotes for her "arriving soon" Model Y to be expensive compared to the renewal quote for Model 3 she recently sold after 3 years. Both are LR models so no big difference in performance and only a slight increase in value. She is retired and does low miles.
I suspect the...
If you can get a decent price sell now! In a few years nobody will want to buy a used diesel. Many councils are charging higher parking charges, clean zones are being introduced and in years to come driving a diesel will (IMO) be seen to be antisocial.
What you replace it with is subject to...
On reflection, the fact that you can get into the NoA settings (you mentioned MadMax) does sound like you have EAP.
IIRC there are rules about NoA only working on roads with proper exit/entry slip roads. Hopefully it will work on some other roads - keep us updated.
Basic Autopilot will not change lanes, you need EAP or FSD to do that.
To change lanes manually, indicate and it will then let you take over steering with less effort. Once you have completed lane change you must switch Autosteer back on.
As many will tell you, this isn't a great solution and...
We got two very similar (plain colours) at Wilko for just over a quid each. They keep drinks cold for ages 👍

We have FSD in USA and I find NoA works great these days to pass slower traffic on freeways. We missed out on the EAP trial in UK (were in USA) but I think the "rules" here make it far less useful.
I would strongly discourage you from bringing a HK Tesla to UK as it won't work well here (wrong maps for nav etc) it would need an IVA (and possibly mods such as rear fog?) and resale would be tough. Best to sell and buy a UK one when you arrive. Used ones are sadly expensive though...
Why not consider a nearly new Mazda MX30? Often overlooked due to low range but could be sufficient for use case? Will probably prove to one of most reliable current EVs. Quite a few available on AT from £23K.
That may be difficult as you typically don't get the reg of a new Tesla until a day or two before delivery. Some companies may do it with just a VIN must most won't AFAIK.
I also agree with above that as Tesla have low maintenance, no road tax, etc there often isn't much benefit in buying through your company. Private ownership and 45p mile tax free can add up quite quickly if you decent business miles.
Many think the 100% WDA is a CT gift, but you have to make...
Make sure whoever you use understands you are not the vehicle owner. When I had a car through my own company (not a Tesla) I made sure I was the registered keeper which made insurance easier. I am not sure if Tesla will make the invoice to your company and you as registered keeper - others may...
