I just use the quick connector, which it locks up quit well. I use the Alpine S-65C it comes with the tweeter, I use the insulation foam wrap around the tweeter to fillin the space.

By using the foam, I can fit any size tweeter in as long as its smaller than the stock Nice fit Filter with the quick connector, finally just put back everything is done.

You properly have a burned speaker, normally if its the amp that fail all speaker would fail. I have also got my speaker burned as well. seems to be very common thing for Tesla Model S. I just bought a 3d printed mount and use a aftermarket Alpine S-65. Sound great to me
