I have the same issue! Pre charge failed boost error. I just live with it. I am out of warranty, and Tesla wants $1200 to replace it. When the 2nd face goes bad, I will replace it, but 32 amps is fine as I only charge at 24 at home

Thanks Rocky!! it looks like there is a fault with my pre charger system as well. do you think that could cause the contactors to have issues due to such high voltage running through them?

I think you are correct. The thing is the car charges totally fine. I have no issues at all just reduced amps. The Pre charger uses the 12v to pre charge the contactors or something.

What was the error code? I am having issues as well.

My car has the same issue. I get the Pre-Charge failed boost error whenever I plug in. I can charge at max 32 amps, and charge at 24 amps consistently. I dont want to spend the 1.5k and am tempted to just live with it. Should I? Or can it cause damage?

May be a HV battery issue. I would stay away. If it’s been in a bad accident, the pyro fuse would have blown, that’s maybe why.

Sorry… but no. I think tesla used to make it so the car could get a recertification, but I think they stopped that. I would watch some of Rich Rebuilds videos on it.

Good news! A decent amount should buff out. Get some touch up paint from tesla and you will be good to go!

The motor is sealed very well. You should be fine.

Looks like the seatbelt. If the car was in an accident the pretensioner would have blown and you will need a new belt assembly for the driver seat.

Does the car have FSD or enhanced autopilot? What price are you thinking?

Because it’s a salvage car, i think tesla may disable software updates… not positive though. I know they disable SC.

Dang. Sorry about that. I wish tesla service was better. The service center near me is a fantastic, but the ones in bigger cities usually suffer due to lack of employees etc.
