I got my reg number last week but it's not recognised yet by any insurer databases so I can't proceed with my (extortionate) quote yet. Does anybody know how long it takes to filter through to the insurers?

Just had the updated p/x valuation through. Still much less than wbac and motorway which is a pain as we'll have to sell and then figure out how to get to the Trafford centre for collection. Does anyone know if I should reject the p/x now or hang on?

VIN ahoy! 448. April 20th order. I've been fully set up with charger and room full of accessories for months after an optimistic June EDD. Waiting for a revised trade in offer although it was 3k less than wbac etc last time so will probably have to sell separately.

I've had too much time now to build it up in my head. There's no way it can live up to my expectations!

This is really putting me off my model Y order. Self park works brilliantly on our Mercedes. I've only ever used it to test it out and can't see myself needing it at all but I'd just expect it to work.

At least we now know why they mess around with the EDDs so much. I got the tesla charger too when the EDD unexpectedly settled in for a week in June. They're making a fortune in accessories without even building our cars!

It is odd, the level of optimism the EDD sometimes has. In April when we ordered the Model Y we were told it would likely be ready in September, however our EDD was constantly changing and narrowing in to a week in June despite all of the supply and shipping issues not tying in with that at all...

We've just had our Tesla wall point installed along with an external pen fault device by Blackstone Electrical. They're based on the Wirral but probably cover other parts of the North West. I can definitely recommend them. I got a few quotes and Graeme definitely knew what he was talking about...

Yes, trying to get our charge point installed at the mo. Flint's about an hour away from us on our regular trips into North Wales so we're bound to need it sometimes. Probably just on the return journey depending on my range anxiety!

Balls. Haven't even got our tesla yet but Flint would have been our 'local'. The exclusive supercharger network was a massive reason for us to go with Tesla. I should have done a bit more research. Hopefully it doesn't have too much impact in practice.

I had an expected delivery of q3 (so haven't answered the poll) as the 'salesman' said it'd likely be September, when I placed the order in April, but my EDD's holding at end of May so far.

Don't know why they'd have told you that. Surely you'd have to go to the back of the queue for that particular spec anyway. Given that nobody seems to know how many of any given spec is available until they're shipped, it's a bit of a lottery what you go for. You could easily bring your edd...

We had one recently for a Mercedes E class. It's about 3k lower than elsewhere. WBAC and Motorway do seem to have gone up over the past few months. We've accepted the tesla offer for now but we'll probably sell it to one of the others if/when we get the tesla!

They confirmed our offer a couple of days ago which we accepted (for now although will probably sell elsewhere) but the edd is from 19th June so I'd expect it's more than 30 days.

Ours has changed today too from 6-30 June to 19-30 June. Sounds promising that it's narrowing down without being pushed back.

Mainly depends on how much your current insurer will charge too. I've had mixed results previously. I've had insurers not charging a penny extra despite me switching to a more expensive car vs insurers wanting a fortune for me downgrading to a more sensible car. I don't think I've ever had to...
