Really interesting as I am due to get car delivered 27th but had a text asking if I could collect due to “potential delivery issues”. If not they would look at a later date so clearly not the rush there has been in the past
@Mr Miserable is there a possibility that the Glovis Sun would double back to Southampton after Zeebrugge? Maybe linked to her next itinerary? Now had my Delivery confirmed for 27th and the Tesla Enterprise Business team were adamant that this was the earliest date due to the ship arrival...
@Mr Miserable to add to this as you know I have been having trouble with delivery of my car from work. Yesterday they had a call with Tesla to try and bring my delivery date of 27th forward but were told the ship is only docking on 26th so also back this up I guess.
I thought the same. If they are for the Sun then they were released early! I am hoping Tuesdays batch was for the Sunrise as there is then a glimpse of hope I can collect before going on holidays the end of Sept!
Mad flurry updating the database this morning! most EDD’s have also changed to 13-26th Sept if that narrows the ship? Waiting for Tesla chat to be live so check I have VIN too (lease Customer)
I have had the same conversation with my work Fleet team who said the same thing! It will be telling when VIN's start to come through. I ordered MY Mid April. Lets hope that we see lots or at least a few UK bound ships leaving soon.
I get the same. According to the process flow at work that they did with Tesla, tesla text us when they want to arrange delivery 🤷🏽♂️
as lots of people have said I’m sure when we get them it will be worth the wait. However the process is really not good.
@Mr Miserable totally agree with @Benotomy - thank you.
I am also asking the same question. Being a company car(ish) customer I ask the transport team to chase my order for the same spec and order date and this was the answer from our Tesla contact: -
it is most likely to be November but I...
I agree! I just hope it’s wrong. Since some have had confirmed deliveries for the start of September (March orders ish) then I can’t see the issues with another ship coming.
I have just had an update from our fleet manager at work. He’s chased the Tesla contact for an update and got this reply:-
it is most likely to be November but I have asked if there is a chance for September please could they try.
It's as I explained earlier about the catching up this quarter...
After some advice.
I just called Tesla to see if I could get an update on the MY I ordered in April through work. As it’s a third party order I don’t see the car in my account but have the RN.
I was told by the advisor I would not be allocated a car because the leasing company “hadn’t filled...
All now eagerly awaiting a text!!
In peoples past experience how long does it take them to send texts about delivery/collection? Is it a quick process or over a few days?
That will be the ship for me too! The excitement is building. Awaiting your confirmation of a ship with anticipation Mr M! (As are many more of us im sure)
Mr M does that mean that MY is unlikely to have any shipped to uk until late august/ early September if production won’t start until 18th or do you anticipate some to have been produced before shutdown?
Wow that’s really early out to have a confirmed delivery date. They must know something. Hopefully mine will be a similar time - same spec ordered mid April
I’m sure I have seen this but can’t find the post.
If you have ordered through a lease or company scheme and the car doesn’t appear on your account can you still see the VIN in source?
I’m in the same boat as my order was 14th April. Ordered through my company so I don’t see the EDD. However the Tesla advisor in the local “showroom” keeps saying it should be before that date. It’s all so confusing
Lots of people (including myself) ordered Tesla through a work scheme, not only, but partly because the delivery estimate was way way better than other brands. It does feel like there could be a bit more transparency given on Teslas part.
I didn’t mean backlog of cars. Backlog of orders as they haven’t slowed and production has had to. They will clearly be in a worse position to what they usually are.
I am also not suggesting that Tesla prioritise Europe but given the talk of increased production I am meaning more cars for every...
I’m not sure 🤷🏽♂️ Many other car manufacturers are struggling with parts and some seem to be far worse impacted than Tesla. So who knows there may be some spare shipping capacity. I live on the Bristol Channel and we see far less car transports than we are used too. As someone else has posted...
I was told from our transport team at work who I’m getting my car from that this is the case. Because of the backlog they are going to try and deliver in July and August despite originally claiming these were months they never deliver. I guess they need to do something like this to catch up. 🤷🏽♂️
