The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

I WILL shout whenever I DAMN WELL feel like it. Deal.

It is "Clear" That Tesla's Price Hikes Are Thanks to Gas Prices Increasing Demand and Awareness of EVs

Yes, businesses are in business to make a profit. Why are you shocked by this? If the demand is outstripping the supply, prices go up. This is true for any commodity that is in short supply. And Musk himself said that part of the reason for the increases is to DECREASE demand so customers...

    FSD Beta v11.x

I took delivery of my Model Y on Mar 30th, and had a safety score of 97 when I was accepted into the beta about 4 weeks ago. I have no idea how they determine who gets it, but I am glad to have it...the software is pretty amazing, even if you have to keep a close eye on it!

Recent Road Trip Report with Stats and photos

I took delivery of my Model Y LR on Mar 30th, and 3 days later took it on a 1600+ mi road trip (each way) from Seattle to Southern NM. I don't have stats and screenshots, unfortunately, but I ran into no issues with the battery or charging on the trip. Typically, my charge stops were 15-20...

    Model S Plaid Delivered Early!

Congratulations on your new car! I hope you enjoy it to it's fullest (without getting arrested)!

    Snippiness 2.0

I don't think it's funny at all. It's basically a transphobic slur, while also indicating that the driver of that vehicle is indeed a complete asshole.

It is "Clear" That Tesla's Price Hikes Are Thanks to Gas Prices Increasing Demand and Awareness of EVs

You can choose to believe it or not, but Elon has already stated why the prices are increasing. With lead times up to a year out (!) they are trying to anticipate future cost increases and mitigate for them NOW by increasing the price...rather than either taking a loss on the vehicle, or trying...

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

No, I don't have to be on "high alert". I monitor what the car is doing, but it's SIGNIFICANTLY less stressful than actually driving.

The thing I thought I’d like the most about my Model 3 is the thing I like the least

Well, I wake up in the morning, jump in my car, and once out of the driveway, engage FSD (beta), and it takes me, with ZERO INTERVENTIONS OR DISENGAGEMENTS 55 miles to work and stops in my work parking lot. When you find another car that can accomplish this, RIGHT NOW, let me know...

    FSD Beta 10.12

You are not entitled to any kind of response from the engineering team. FULL STOP. You are a TESTER, not an ENGINEER. If you would like to be a Tesla engineer, submit a resume. If you don't like the terms of being a beta tester, opt out and use the public software. My god man, what makes...

Tesla's FSD Beta Is Not Yet For Everyone | TMC Podcast Clip

I have had very good luck with the FSD beta...BUT...I was just driving back to work from lunch, going straight down a 4 lane road in heavy traffic, and FSD first wanted to turn into oncoming traffic when it left the highway. When I re-engaged it, it drove fine for about a half mile, then...

FSD Beta 10.12.2 Expanding to 100k Cars! and 10.13 News

That hasn't been my experience at all. I have used FSD Beta to drive me over 50 miles to and from work with no interventions and only one situation where I would have intervened had there been traffic (it chose the wrong turning lane, then immediately did a lane change after the intersection)...

FSD Beta 10.12.2 Expanding to 100k Cars! and 10.13 News

The fact that it works as well as it does is a bloody miracle. I can't see highway driving being much of a challenge for the FSD software in it's current state...it's probably more an issue of just integrating the 2 stacks at this point.

FSD Beta 10.12.2 Expanding to 100k Cars! and 10.13 News

You are correct, FSD beta is only active on city streets, the software is the same as the public build for highway driving currently. That should change soon, though.

FSD Beta 10.12.2 Expanding to 100k Cars! and 10.13 News

You never will use FSD Beta on the highway, until they unify the software stack (hopefully soon!). FSD beta ONLY works on city streets currently, when you get on the highway, it reverts back to the regular "Navigate on Autopilot" software. You should notice a difference in the graphics when...

FSD Beta 10.12.2 Expanding to 100k Cars! and 10.13 News

Just got it on Saturday. Took my first drive with it on Sunday morning. It totally failed on an unprotected left hand turn (with ZERO traffic!) and when I tapped the accelerator, it then tried to drive in the turning lane. Also drove over the (sloped) curb when navigating roundabouts. Was...

Tried a FSD subscription. It's not worth it...

It really depends on where you drive and how you use it. I have had my Model Y for a month and a half, and sprung for FSD (mainly due to the impending $2000 price hike, I added it a few days before that hit). I use FSD ALL THE TIME on city streets. The main advantage I have is that I can...
