Yeah the installation in the MY was so much easier than the M3 as well

I wonder if the new m3 Highlands have xm and Tesla switched the "switch" to turn on xm on for m3s. Bc if I remember it was just a simple "0" or "1" needed in the code. Either way thank you Tesla engineers

I have all those same problems once in a whie. No idea what causes it but i noticed if you switch to streaming for a bit then back to FM all of it goes back to normal.

Tesla customer service is by far the worst. It will prob be the reason that I wont purchase another Tesla. Their #1 excuse is always "we technically are not a dealership" 600$!!!! Now I feel bad gutting my 36$ one

The sound quality wasnt an issue for me ever. I guess my "clipping" was music cutting in and out.

Rerouted the antenna on MY. Wish the m3 tuner location was at convenient as the MY, only a small portion of the wire is visible and only if you are looking for it. Going on another road trip today so will update on if in fact clipping is stopped with new location.

Just placed it there temporarily. We'll have to find a better place to place it though.

Update: Intel MYLR; I moved the antenna to the outside of the car and the clipping stopped on recent road trip. Thanks @crackers8199 AMD M3P; tuner still displaying info only with no audio even with newest update.

Been driving around with plaid tuner in AMD m3 and noticed that without the xm antenna attached I don't get channel information (ie sing title/artist etc...) And plus the icon shows Siriusxm vs streaming (see pic) So I suspect that the system doesn't pull info from WiFi like it does in Intel...

No resetting issues at all so far, just the clipping outside the city.

I haven't had time to test the plaid tuner with antenna outside of car outside the city yet.

Sorry been off the forums for a few weeks. Just read through it and read about the "clipping" It's so odd that it only really happens outside the metro though. I can go under underpasses and some garages with no issues.

I ordered another B tuner from SC so waiting for that to put back in my 2022 M3 so I can troubleshoot it. I don't want to remove the XM tuner from MY bc it's working well and don't want to mess with it and plus I'm lazy hahah

Utopia radio is a XM channel. Newer Model S and X use the same tuner. 1622932-00-B = radio tuner AVAILABLE for $225 plus service They just replied back that I can buy the tuner without "service."
