How does one report a supercharger or a Tesla L2 charger not working?

The Hampton Inn we stay at in Barboursville WVA has 4 EV stalls. All were purchased from Tesla under the original Destination Charger Program back in 2015. There are a total of FOUR EVSEs mounted on two metal posts. One has a Tesla HPWC and a Clipper Creek EVSE with a J-7122 plug and the...

model y front seat headrest modification

We have owned two Tesla Model Y's since July 2020. I'm 72 and 5'9" and wifey is 71 and 5'0" and based on how we adjust our seats we haven't experienced ANY issues with the fixed front seat headrests. The reason I'm responding is that my neighbor bought a Model Y and used my Referral Code and...

Wiki Model S EPA range discussion

I have never thought ANY EPA number was gospel, just a guide. But in the last several years I have watched hundreds of YouTube videos of owners and so-called "reviewers" testing EV range under varying real-world conditions. So when I ordered our first Tesla in 2020 (an LR AWD Y with an EPA...

2021 MYP Uberturbine 21" to 20" Aftermarket Wheels... 30 pound weight savings

I dumped the 21" UT for some 18s from TSportLine. My weight savings was 68 pounds. But the MYP with the 18s is a better all-around DD. Faster, more efficient, rides better, I can rotate the tires and I no longer fear potholes or curbs. Aside from looks I'm trying to find a use case where...

    Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation

Thanks for setting me straight, I missed the asterisk on the MSP. But as I'm considering buying a LR S vs the old M3. I guess I was focused on that comparison. 3.1 for BOTH. Will be interesting to see how they report the new Ludicrous 3 times.
  7. TomServo

    Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation

Will Tesla continue to state it's 0 to 60 times using the "1-foot roll-out" track staging rules and report a straight-up 0 to 60 time the same as the S/X?

    ABRP and current Model S

Ok, thanks. Then the results make the LR S a considerable step up range wise and performance wise. Makes our decision easier. Again thanks.

    ABRP and current Model S

We are thinking of trading up to a new S LR from our MYP and wanted to run some test routes we currently drive. But ABRP doesn’t have the new Model S to model (402 range). Am I doing something wrong? Is there another online planner? Thanks

Model Y Performance vs Highland Long Range

We went from a 2020 AWD LR Y to a 2022 MYP and the first thing we did after taking a 2K road trip was to dump the 21" UTs and replace them with some 18s from TSportLine. What a HUGE difference. It's like an entirely different model. Not only is it FASTER, MORE EFFICIENT but the ride is...

Does the highland LR have the option of acceleration boost?

That’s exactly what I did, bought some 18s from TSportLine. It’s like a whole NEW model of the Y. It’s faster, more efficient and rides and drives better. And I no longer fear pot holes or curbs.

Tesla blesses other cars blocking two stalls due to short cord

Given that, Tesla knows which non-Tesla has "plugged in" their software should immediately know which OPEN stall they are blocking and update the station BALLON on the car's display. That way even before a Tesla arrives at the station they have SA on which stalls are USEABLE or UN-USABLE. Oh...

    Model 3 Highland Performance/Plaid Speculation

Will Tesla remove the "1-foot roll-out" and rate the new 3 (and Y for that matter) the same as the current S/X? The 1-foot roll-out does REDUCE a vehicle's 0 to 60 times. And that means nothing on the street. Not that I'm condoning street racing.

Does the Tesla site reporting account for this? If the RED Nav ballon shows X number of open spaces will that now account for a non-Tesla occupying TWO stalls?

Ford and all the other manufacturers need to sell a Tesla-approved EXTENSION. Blocking TWO stalls is not the solution. The other manufacturers need to move the charge port location in the future.

Fastest 1/4 mile tires for 18inch rimmed M3P

So what is the guess on the baseline performance of the new M3 Highland Ludicrous? Could it dip below 3.0? Say 2.9? And will Tesla stop using the "1-foot rollout" and report ALL times the same? Given the current Tesla M3P is rated at 3.1 seconds using the 1-foot rollout and the S/X isn't...

Estimated range updates in 2024.2.6 release

The number of miles as displayed by pressing the Battery icon has always been a point of contention, all it was good for was to keep an eye on battery degradation. Supercharger - Lexington, VA - Hotel Drive

While the 6 chargers at the Hilton Hotel are V2 we stop there as it's just off I-64, and we usually plan that as our rest stop on our way to Maryland, so we would need a 30 to 40-minute stop anyway. When the weather is nice we sit at their outdoor patio area and eat lunch. But a new SCer along...

Tesla employeed killed in crash involving FSD?

Does the highland LR have the option of acceleration boost?

I added PB to my 2020 LR Y, it was worth every penny to me, so I would want that option again. You keep the RANGE and chop .5 maybe .6 seconds off its 0 to 60. To me that’s a WIN WIN. As much as we love our 2022 MYP we are now more interested in more REFINEMENTS and MORE RANGE so we are...

    TSportline wheels for Model Y

I opted to dump the 21" Uber Turbinws for some 18s squared from TSportLine. Going on two years now, they changed the vehicle dynamics in every way possible for a DD in a POSITIVE way. I no longer fear potholes/curbs, our MYP is faster and more efficient and they are wearing like iron. I...

Supercharger failure - Oak Brook Mall (dead Teslas?)

My son's first duty assignment in the USAF was to Minot AFB ND. He owned a 3-year-old Pontiac Sunfire (FI 4 cyl) that we prepped for that assignment while he was home on leave and based on info his unit sponsor sent him. So we did a complete service (all new fluids) fresh Mobil 1 full...

ZERO if I'm to believe BEFORE and AFTER testing using my DRAGY. The car and GPS are within ONE MILE of each other, the before had a 3 mph delta. With the BEFORE (OEM ties/wheels) if the car said 70 mph my GPS reported 67 mph.

Will Tesla Buildup Superchargers to Accommodate Anticipated Demand from Ford, GM, Rivian, and whoever else, Adopting NACS circa 2024/2025?

I assume all these "third-party" DCFC stations will SEAMLESSLY INTEGRATE with the Tesla Nav and Plug and Play system? Am guessing they would add another button to toggle them ON/OFF. i.e. I only want to see Tesla SuperChargers, or do I want to see only "non-Tesla" chargers?

Chicago area superchargers failing in cold

To be honest unless you absolutely have to be traveling long distance in that kind of weather, stay home. But then we are in our 70s and wouldn’t survive long in those temps if stranded. And to be honest we wouldn’t take an ICE vehicle out. Having said that Tesla better get to the bottom of...

Did Model S Plaid just have range downgraded by 37 miles?

The V2 locations will probably get hit the hardest given their POWER SHARING nature. And if Chevy Bolts start flocking to SCers with their 55 kWh MAX charging speed things could get dicey. One of the locations we charge at on our road trips is Glen Allen VA. It's our last stop before we get...
