The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

I may be a little passionate about what I say but to me at least it’s the same group of people constantly down voting me and calling me a troll with every negative comment I make. I don’t think censorship is the way to go in an open forum. I know it’s hard to be a moderator but surely you must...

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Yeah but I have one tail light with water and one without and nobody can tell me why. Are you saying the one without water is defective ? It would be nice if the other one was dry as well.
  3. P

    Will Tesla sue Dan O'Dowd?

Don’t bother voicing opinions here. I am tired of being called a troll when I put forth an opinion contrary to the fanboys. There is not an open forum by a long shot.

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Why in one headlight and not the other ? Can’t wait for your technical response.
  5. P

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Dig deeper. The issues you quoted like Apple Car Play problems are not even relevant to Tesla. And cheap cars are just cheap but can have outstanding quality. Tesla is expensive and has mediocre quality. Period. I suppose Consumer Reports is wrong too about Tesla as saying not recommended...

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Condensation is not normal in a tail light. And how do you explain it in one light and not the other ? They are in the same city. None of my other cars have this problem. You are the perfect candidate for Tesla shoddy engineering. Apparently if they tell you some observed fault is normal you...

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Your arrogance is laughable. It is irrelevant about what you do or where you work. I am sure we would all be impressed at your acumen and experience. You apparently are. If you had any objectivity at all you would realize that what is coming out of Tesla is very spotty in quality. No...

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Agree with you. The fan boys won’t like it however.

Looks like they are removing stalks from the 3/Y

I think it was Facebook that coined “Move Fast And Break Things” but this rationale seems to apply to most tech companies these days.

Trailer electrical connector DOA on New MYP

That has everything to do with quality. You don’t ship a non-functional trailer hitch. You make it unavailable to order until you figure it out.

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

I am surprised there has not been a lawsuit over this. How about the people that bought into this years ago and have nothing to show for it ? Some have moved on to other cars by now. Musk is great at empty promises but I think his day of reckoning is coming. I am surprised he hasn’t offered...

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Glad you had a good experience - so far. But your experience does not make it consistent across all customers in all countries. I saw a brand new MYP. Condensation in the tail lights. How many years has Tesla known about this design defect ? Paint jobs still suck with debris in paint. I...

    What FSD improvements are needed?

This will be fixed. One day. End of 2022.
  14. P

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

I disagree. People are smart enough to see the poor quality, empty promises and horrible service.
  15. P

    Will Tesla sue Dan O'Dowd?

It’s good they don’t or they may have to account for their empty promises.
  16. P

Looks like they are removing stalks from the 3/Y

I also believe all Model 3’s got the superior matrix headlights in 2021.
  17. P

Trailer electrical connector DOA on New MYP

Not unbelievable. The factory is pushed to get product out the door no matter what. Who cares about quality.
  18. P

The number of used Tesla 3/Y available is staggering

Tesla is not the only game in town now and people are finding better quality EV’s from others manufacturers. The buzz that helped sell Tesla in the past was the promise of FSD. Now largely relegated to joke status because of constant delays and problems I think that Teslas best days are now...

Looks like they are removing stalks from the 3/Y

The 2020 also has usb-c ports in the console that handle data. Current model usb-c ports can only be used for charging. They also got rid of a redundant steering sensor in 2022 models but not sure if they added that back. The cpu was also upgraded in 2022 models but that was a phased transition.

Starting to feel like Cybertruck is going the way of the Roadster: Vaporware

QC with Tesla ? They don’t have that department anymore. Cost savings.
  21. P

    Beta fsd

Just to be clear you must have purchased FSD with your vehicle and passed the Tesla driving test first. Then you will be considered for the beta software.
  22. P

    Tesla model S battery Failed

I think your comment is unfair. He went to get a replacement battery and was willing to pay for it. They essentially upsold him without his approval. The law is on his side.
  23. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

That would be fair. I think Musk should be paying these people to be testers. Or at least give it to them for free since it’s a steep price to pay for beta. Or maybe even get a refund if you find the endless delays and no end product a ripoff.
  24. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

My motivation is transparency. I know for a fact there is more than one Tesla employee here masquerading as a flag waving customer thus helping to keep this joke running. FSD won’t be a real product for many years. I am hoping to educate some new members to this forum to save their money and...
  25. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I wouldn’t be so smug. It will happen and NHTSA will have FSD removed from your car. And your money for FSD will not be refunded. Good luck with that. Can’t wait to hear you complain about fraud with the software you purchased.
  26. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

With FSD better make sure it’s not dark or raining. Yeah that’s a real deal for your money.
  27. P

    Tesla model S battery Failed

Stand your ground. They upgraded without your approval so you should have no problem.
  28. P

New vs. Used if ordering now>

As someone else said a used Tesla without warranty could be very expensive to fix. Try to get a service history no matter what you buy.
  29. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I never said people will die by the thousands but some will because of clowns that should not be testing this software on our streets. Hopefully you will not be responsible for an accident.
  30. P

    Should I trade-in Model Y for 2022 Model S?

The Model S and Model X really are Tesla’s premium vehicles. The Model 3 and Model Y are their entry level vehicles. If you can afford the Model S I can’t see how you would be disappointed.

    Car Software Changes, Docs Don't

I get what you are saying. I think another way to get the point across is “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”.
  32. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

Yes I get what you are saying. I just hope some kid driving his fathers Tesla does not engage FSD to show off to his friends and cause a fatality. We need a lockout password on FSD to restrict usage. I have seen far too many instances of sports cars and youth that don’t end well.
  33. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I am not against the idea of FSD. It will come eventually but it is years away. My issue is Tesla basically employing “customers” to do their real world testing, asking them to pay for it and asking them to assume the risk. I can’t think of any other product or industry that has done this...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Teslas running Autopilot involved in 273 crashes reported since last year https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/06/15/tesla-autopilot-crashes/
  35. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I did not pay to be a beta tester for seatbelts, air bags or brakes. This technology was vetted by the manufacturer and regulatory bodies before It was made available for sale. Prove me wrong. Tesla has taken a software idea, put it out there for a price and asked people to test it for them...
  36. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

Surely you know how to use a search engine. Let’s put it another way. One accident caused by FSD is one too many.
  37. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

Companies have R&D budgets to design, test and validate new products. Good companies do not pass that cost to the customer. In Tesla’s case the customer pays for the privilege.

SR+ vs LR for long commuting

While you could probably make do with the SR+ I would go for the LR. You will lose a lot of capacity in cold weather and who knows what you will need for range in the future.
  39. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I don’t hate either. I have a 2021 MYLR purchased used that included FSD. That software is an absolute POS. The rest of the vehicle I like but the Supercharger availability is what sold me. The service network is absolutely horrible however.
  40. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

You have to be kidding. It’s a novelty toy no more no less.
  41. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

You must be joking. Have you ever experienced phantom braking ? I have. How about indecision on busy roads with glaring sunlight ? I have. FSD is truly dangerous and should not be considered a sellable product. I worry that you beta testers will cause enough carnage not unlike those 18 year...
  42. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I don’t know if you are a real medical doctor but if you are you should know better. Drugs go through a thorough design, testing and validation process before administration to human beings. You must have skipped that class. This is the complete opposite of what Tesla has done with FSD. With...

    Canada - FSD rollout

Those in the know don’t use Google products. The fact that you freely give them your data speaks volumes.
  44. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

Cruise control was invented and validated before it was offered for sale. Unlike FSD that asks you to pay for the privilege, test it and hope nobody gets hurt using it. I guess we are lucky so many of you are willing to pay and test it. Nature has a funny way of weeding out people before...
  45. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I don’t recall cruise control being tested by customers and paid for by customers during its development.
  46. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

I said “playing with FSD” and was quite specific. Nothing about a Civic or a tire.
  47. P

Starting to feel like Cybertruck is going the way of the Roadster: Vaporware

You know of course that people violate NDA’s all the time when there is no reasonable expectation they will be caught.
  48. P

    Canada - FSD rollout

Good for you. I hope you don’t have an accident playing with FSD and take an innocent person’s life. But of course that could never happen to you.
  49. P

    Lifting pucks

I think you are right. In Canada it seems Teslas are still rare except close to major cities.
  50. P

    Lifting pucks

Local tire shop refused to replace a fiat tire without the pucks. He did not have any and was concerned about damage with his lift. Luckily I was able to get a friend to stop by with his. Too bad they can’t engineer something integrated with the underbody so this would never be a problem. I...
