I didn't see anything on the display about "free" or "complimentary", and at the time (12/31/21) I wasn't aware of the free juice until after I charged. My EA account never showed the session, even now. But, hey, free juice! Yay!

Charged successfully yesterday, albeit slowly at only 29 kW!) at this DCFC. Only took one try on V161-1. I sent a note to ChargePoint, and if you check the check-ins, everybody else is seeing slow rates, too. This unit *should* dispense 62.5 kW, so why it has been derated is an ongoing mystery.

My last successful attempt was plug the charger to the adapter, plug the adapter into the car, turn on the adapter, swipe the EA app thingy. I have no idea if that is correct; that's just what worked for me that time. Your method has also worked for me months ago on the same EA charger.

Just tested V161-1 at an EA site near my house near Atlanta, GA. Took me 4 attempts but it finally connected. 42 kW - Tesla, 49 kW - EA. Hooray!

I bought the same Anker unit but for a different reason, and it works perfectly. After the 2019.8.4 update, the driver side of the Qi charger (Taptes) stopped working. It was plugged-in directly. Now, it first goes through the Anker and voilà, working again!
