The European kit will work just fine on your North American Model S as long as you have the Refresh Kit. Have a 2018 North American Model S and I installed the European kit on it about a year ago. It works just fine. I think I have posted the NA part number here on TMC, I will look later on...

On the Pensacola Supercharger front I just noticed that the “Coming Soon” icon for Pensacola has been removed from the official map on the Tesla website. The only coming soon supercharger that it shows in the area now is the Gulf Breeze Supercharger.

There was some discussion about it in this thread. Some people thought that vehicles with Gen 1 Charge Controllers (Onboard Chargers) were not able to use the European CCS 2 Retrofit hardware and others though they could. I know for sure that Gen 2 Controllers work with the hardware upgrade...

There is a possibility that Gen 1 charge Contollers ( Onboard Charger) may not be compatible. People have successfully done a DIY install of this hardware (procured from Europe) on Gen2 and newer, but I have not seen anyone say they were successful on Gen1 chargers.

All the electrical work looks like it’s been wrapped up. Unfortunately still no meter can on the meter base ( pictured) so I’m guessing it’s still waiting on final inspections/approval from Florida Power and Light.

Prefabricated pedestals are now in place. I didn’t realize there were going to be 4 chargers per pedestal. This is going to be a 12 stall V3 Supercharger! Way more than needed in this location, but hey you won’t have to wait to charge here for a long time to come!

No need to wait for Tesla or Service Centers to release this in North America if you have basic wrenching skills. For the older Model S and Model X, you can actually use the same CCS Retrofit kit that Tesla has been selling in Europe for years to get your CCS1 up and running in North America...

This matches what I was quoted at the New Orleans Service Center. Total of $777 before taxes for the two inspections. $601.25 for the Salvage Title High Voltage Inspection and $175.75 for the Fast Charging Safety Inspection. I attached a picture of the quote for everyone to see.
