Just had a text from Tesla to remind me to collect my MSM M3LR from Brent Cross tomorrow. As if I needed reminding :)

Just received my reg number by text, well in advance of my collection on the 7 Dec. Happy with that, as it means I can finalise insurance.

I had that with my initial £50 testing payment. They reversed the second one out a couple of days later.

Having booked my collection now (for 7 Dec) , does anybody know how long it is until I'll get my reg number, please? Would be handy to know for insurance quotes. I know some companies will quote on the VIN but some won't.

Yay, now got a confirmed "delivery" (i.e. collection!) date of 7 Dec, which was the earliest date offered to me. Well chuffed it's happening after my long wait :)

EDD didn't change. No delivery date as yet, but as they'd previously told me they wouldn't update my trade-in until it was 30 days or less from a firm EDD, I'm taking that as the suggestion it's round the corner.

Same expiry date. My EDD is Nov 24-Dec 9, so I took a punt on it. In any case, my valuation was only reduced by £50 from the one I got in March so I'm not too worried if I need another one if my car comes between the 6th and 9th. Although of course the EDD may well change again. All part of the...

Update. Got a text today asking for updated mileage. Replied with it, and got a revised trade-in value within an hour, which I've accepted.

I rang them last week (before I'd got my hidden VIN) and they said they wouldn't ask for trade-in mileage until I had a firm delivery date.

Also found my hidden VIN just now (wasn't there earlier today). EDD slightly tweaked from Nov 23-Dec 9 to Nov 24-Dec 9. It could really happen :) Was asked to accept the Tesla Vision notice to continue with delivery, which of course I accepted (Hobson's Choice anyway!). No text or others comms...

Very true. It amazes me that Tesla don't proactively communicate changes in EDD. They did text me to tell me my collection point was being changed, but never have for EDD changes. An automated text saying your date has changed is surely not asking too much?!
