What is this high pitched cricket like noise?

Hello everyone, Just to give an update on my saga with 10khz cricket. I filed lemon law suit, Tesla agreed to refund vehicle price. Listed below is outlined reasoning I provided to my lawyer which got agreement out of Tesla. Also provided is a state minimum requirement for Lemon lawsuit...

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

Weird hill you are fighting on.. To be strictly speaking, as long as each drive unit has similarly sized wheels it will be fine. Ergo, as long as your left and right is same model size, you'll be alright. Model y doesn't have mechanical linkage in middle connecting front axle to rear. To...

What is this high pitched cricket like noise?

I found out by an accident that extremely hard maneuver stops the noise for a while. I'd imagine sudden acceleration/deceleration is sloshing the oil around and silencing it momentarily. I'm putting lemon in for my car...

What is this high pitched cricket like noise?

If it is indeed lack of oil causing the noise, then most likely the damage is already done and filling it now will just mask it. I had about 3 hour shouting match with Cherry Hill SC about this issue while back. It's time to go back for another spin.

Driver-Side door air leak on new Model Y

This is a good idea, any body shop would already have a good experience in alignment better than Tesla SC. Unfortunately this does not seat well with me as Tesla thinks it is normal to have this problem. I completely wrote off Tesla as future vehicle after 3 hours of argument with SC to be...

Tesla says it's "within the spec" and "normal", what do you think?

You sounds like my SC, seeing things when there's none lol

2023 Model Y rattles in the back

    This is what I had

Secondary door seal not sealing against frame

Beats me, I had 3 hour argument with them and it went nowhere. maybe your SC will make some sense.

Driver-Side door air leak on new Model Y

Mine is 22. I'm in Cherry Hill SC right now, and just got told thatsecondary seal is not supposed to make a seal and if you find one that does then they got lucky.

Secondary door seal not sealing against frame

I had same issue, and per the SC it's not supposed to make a seal.

Driver-Side door air leak on new Model Y

I think I found the issue. Didn't even have to look hard, on number of locations my door seal is either barely making a contact or coming off because its not touching anything. Going to do more extensive investigation this weekend. This is really disappointing..

Driver-Side door air leak on new Model Y

Ohh this explains a lot! I have same alignment issue like you do. When I first found misalignment my SC told me flat 'within spec' and when pressed 'impossible to adjust', well when I presented service manual 'we'll likely **** up other alignment when adjusting it'. I left as is, as it didn't...

2023 Model Y rattles in the back

Hey I recently got similar noise fixed. Mine was isolator in seat assembly that was missing from the factory. I was pulling all aftermarket out which amounted for 2 medium sized home depot box. No one could pinpoint where it was coming from, until one day I bumped my head into my headrest in...

PSA You will NOT get into the FSD beta if you already have 2022.24 or higher.

I have to say FSD is pretty impressive! Aside from few cases of missing turns due to a map error or overshooting on a turn, it does a wondrous job driving me around. Especially with already proven reliable highway stack, I almost never drive on highway myself any more. On second thought...

I got 2022.36.20 last night with safety score of 88. Hooray!

Why does Smart Summon delete all sentry clips since last parked?

This is interesting, I want to duplicate to see if I can weigh in too.

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

After any tire remount you need to have it balanced. Tires have heavy spot marked and they need to align with the wheel and then balance with weight if still unbalanced. I have this setup and have no noticeable increase in vibration between 0 to 90.

PSA You will NOT get into the FSD beta if you already have 2022.24 or higher.

I'm happily sitting at 2022.36.6 currently. I hear the current release is only for employees so I'm hoping to see a wide release in few days. It would be awesome if I can get it by Friday to test over the weekend : )

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

I'm happy to report the result of swap is a success! 275/35-21 295/35-21 So far no rub and looks pretty great. I purchased 295 from Costco and had to have some argument with sales rep and supervisor about installation. But after actually examining the stock tire supervisor agreed to do the...

PSA You will NOT get into the FSD beta if you already have 2022.24 or higher.

I'm going for an update. If at worst this will delay me from getting FSD for 3 to 4 weeks. But if this update is prerequisite for receiving 2022.36.15 then I must install it to get the FSD. I'll report back tomorrow once it updates.

PSA You will NOT get into the FSD beta if you already have 2022.24 or higher.

I think OP's observation is accurate. Right after updating to 2022.28.2 I applied for FSD beta. That was around October first week and I never saw any more update after that. I'm currently averaging 91 safety score and it's hard to believe I haven't received any update ranging from 2022.36...

Model Y Performance 21" Tires - Larger, More Comfortable Fitment Details and Experience - Michelin AS4's (With Photos)

This weekend I'm doing 275/35 in front and 295/35 in rear with Michelin Pilot sport AS4. Per Redevil, it doesn't rub soo. I'm running with it! Hate the stretched look!
