I reluctantly approved the $515 estimate two replace both cameras, but after the mobile service guy left and the invoice was uploaded I discovered it was covered as warranty. Based on discussion here I didn’t even ask for it to be covered.

I did the spring swap on my 2018 Model 3 and anticipated doing the same on the Model Y. I never got to the point of learning the latch was different because my Y frunk closes easily. My guess is that it can be adjusted.

Some years ago I had the rear drive unit in my 2014 Model S replaced. There was a known problem with bad bearings making noise. The actual replacement took about two hours. It's a lot simpler than an ICE replacement.

I’m using my Tesla branded M3 mats in the front of my MY while I wait to see what other options appear. They’re a reasonable fit, but of course do not cover the dead pedal. I didn’t try the rear which would not be a good fit because of the additional leg room in the MY.

My Model S VIN was 404xx and my Model 3 VIN is 403xx. It's touch and go whether I can get a 402xx VIN for my Model Y. The first two were June manufacture dates (2014 and 2018) so I've already missed that convergence.

When I bought my 3 the payment was reflected instantly in my Tesla account, and I got an email thanking me for my payment. It took a few days for the bank to debit my account.

Inductions were a no cost option on the base performance model after they allowed you to choose that option. My order is for inductions and I've not been told any different.

Just got a call from Claudia in the Fremont Delivery Center. She said they are making the final batch of stealth (aka "base performance") vehicles over the next few weeks.

Also the $100 "fee" is added to the cost of the car unlike the $2500 which is counted as a credit against the purchase price.

I believe the plan is that Europe won't get any Model Y until they come out of Giga Berlin. Fremont production of Model Y is only for US and Canada for now.
