I always carry the Tesla key card with me. It’s in my wallet. However, I always use the phone as a key. Anyways, the issue self resolved. Next day when I got in the car it started normally for no apparent reason. So I don’t know what happened or why.

I will try deleting the app and reinstalling once I get home. I’m on a trip far from home and this suddenly started happening so I have to start the car from the app command.

This just happened to me but restarting both the phone and the car has not helped. Any other suggestions?

Will this 3rd party retrofit on the Model 3 cause any issues charging? Feedback from long time owners of the retrofit on Model 3 will be good to read. I’m interested if it may cause issues with charging speed or reliability at superchargers.

Is there a way to prevent the radio volume from going down when a door opens. That can be annoying in some cases. I much rather lower the volume manually as I deem necessary.

There should be a variety of options: free L2 charging while you shop, and fast charging for a fee per kw. L2 makes more sense if you arrive with relatively high state of charge and get enough juice so that you arrive home with the same or a bit more of charge than when you left home. However...

If I stand next to the car for a few seconds after I get out and close the door it will lock anyway even if I don’t walk away. Done it many times. I just have to time how many seconds it takes and test various scenarios to see if the timing varies.

I have to measure how long it takes. To me it feels like it takes the same amount of time to lock no matter which direction I leave the vehicle or if I just stand next to it.

Windows don’t have sensors to determine if something is preventing the windows from closing. The computer monitors the power draw from the window motor to detect if it’s stuck. No additional hardware required. All software. Now, this is on Teslas. Other manufacturers have actual sensors for that.
