That is the whole point. I can keep it between 20-35% during the week and still have plenty of range. If I want it higher for weekends, I can charge daily for a few nights. I need to figure out what my nightly charging adds (and then adjust my percentages accordingly).

I thought that 23.12.10 would be the path forward. The older and wiser folks said that 23.12.10 would be an island. They were correct. I would trade the newer features for 11.4.2.

It is possible that the limited few that already have 11.4.1 will get additional releases of 11.4.x that are unavailable to the 11.3.6 folks. But it would make no sense to have a widespread upgrade from 11.3.6 to 2023.7.5. That is a dead end.

It seems pretty clear than any future updates from 3.6 will be on the 2023.12.10 branch or higher. I like this solution. It takes pressure off of having to release a 4.2 (or higher) version in order to add the 2023 cars into the FSD beta.

I opted into a FSD Subscription this month based on a fundamental misunderstanding of the current FSD beta version. I will happily let it roll over to a second month in June if there is a decent chance that 11.4.2 or something similar will allow new people into the beta program in the next 4-6...

I hope that 11.4.2 will be released to 2023 models. I am sure that Teslafi doesn’t have many 2023 model subscribers, but so far every 11.4.1 install on HW3 is by an existing FSD beta subscriber.

I finally got my vin yesterday. 1/24 order date. Austin build. New window is 4/27–5/4.

I got a text from Tesla when I ordered my car in January. And then one yesterday alerting me that I could trade in my current vehicle and apply the value to my upcoming model Y purchase. I guess I will take that as a good sign!

My updated delivery is now April 9 – May 20. The later the better as far as I’m concerned.

I ordered mine without ever stopping by a service center. When I finally went in for a test drive, the person helping me said “oh I see you ordered a model Y long range“!
