Just confirmation from Jeff Dahn that "lower the state of charge, the better", which is consistent with @AAKEE's research reports. His suggestion to charge more is for convenience and practicality (per video linked to above).

Cracked one of my old style 18" Aero wheels and found a new style Aero wheel for a good price. Anyone know if the wheels between generations are compatible? I'm looking to buy just the new style wheel and put the old tire and TPMS on the new wheel.

Is the unpredictability after 20% degradation simply that we haven’t tested below 20% or we’ve tested and found the battery to be unpredictable (i.e. inconsistent)?

Was just using FSD as I normally would. I almost never turn it on in the city (too many close calls for that), but I often like to turn it on on long stretches of the highway. I'll need to be more careful.

It was on interstate 405 in Bellevue. The temporary repair to get me back home wasn't that expensive, as Les Schwab found me a used wheel. I still need to buy a permanent wheel to replace the temporary one though.

For me, the best technology is one that always works. The second best is one that never works. The worst and most frustrating technology for me is one that sometimes works, and that's been my experience with FSD.

I like this update as well, and price being equal, I prefer it over the current Model 3. But the current inventory Model 3 can be had at a good discount, and with the expected price bump of the new Model 3, I'm not sure which one is the better value.

I think you meant "watts", not "watts/hr". A watt is already a rate (1 watt = 1 joules/second), so 2,100 watts/hr doesn't make sense. So the consumption is simply 2,100 watts or 2.1 kW or 2.1 kWh/hr.

At best, it's a fun party trick. At worst, it's dangerous. I keep trying it every time I get an update but I've been disappointed every time.

Any idea when it's coming to Canada? Their online configurator hasn't been updated for Canada or US yet, although it has for Australia, Europe, and China.
