Approval.

Make sure you approval is up to date. If 6 months have passed, you will need an updated approval. That has played a part in delaying my settlement 😩

I’ve just had my delivery delayed by a week due to the NL not being organised enough. They had 6 business days before my original delivery date of Sat 8th. Meant to get it tomorrow, had to reschedule. Earliest to reschedule to is Friday 14th. So disappointed. Maxxia are trash to deal with.

I’d have recommended you insist on the refund being made to the NL. You still pay interest on that money if you get it instead of the NL. Given my NL is charging stupid % I wasn’t giving them anything more for nothing 😂

Delivery booked. Blue MY, booked at Alexandria 8th July. I had no changes to edd on the app ever since the vehicle landed at PK. So yes, if your app goes a little funny - it likely means Musky Claus is coming to town.

In their defence the timeframes under regular conditions were probably reasonable. Port delays and movements of cars by freight haven’t improved. They could have been more forethcoming with communication and realistic rather than optimistic I’ll agree.

Understand you’re frustrated. Unfortunately truck drivers are hard to come by, industry shortage. They can’t scale up deliveries as the trucks and drivers don’t exist. The only part Tesla can somewhat control is production. Shipping, ports and trucks/drivers, not.

Not sure how 80kms makes much difference on a long road trip, 800km trip would still likely leave you needing to charge 2-3 times no different to the standard range. If it was 150km + I could maybe justify it. Not sure that AWD makes much difference to overall safety, so don’t buy that...

LR Y is hampered by fact the battery is recommended to only be charged to 80% under normal circumstances. Not sure how you benefit from ‘extra range’ under normal driving conditions? My opinion is that extra $1k’s for two motor, faster acceleration and range for the off chance it’s needed...

Without knowing your total circumstances, go with the Y. More spacious, range is plenty for what (I’m assuming) you’ll mostly need it for. Unless of course you do a lot of driving and the range is a necessary convenience.
